MAINTAIN POSTINGS#
Requisitions are entered as
postings through the Maintain Postings (IRPO) screen.
They are entered with a special status and are uniquely identified within an entity by a posting
code.
Requisitions may be very general or detailed and may be for a department, location, unit, group, job or position; however, they MUST be associated with a job profile.
Once the recruiting process is completed, the posting may be closed by selecting an appropriate choice from the lexicon in the
‘Status’ field. Please note that a posting does NOT have to be filled to be closed.
The definition data for the Maintain Requisitions screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_POSTINGS, and
P2K_RE_JOB_PROFILES,
P2K_RE_RECRUITING_COSTS,
P2K_RE_RECRUITER_USAGES, and
P2K_RE_APPLICATIONS tables.
- Posting
- This field displays a user-defined code that uniquely identifies the posting. Posting_Code is a mandatory 16-character alphanumeric field you must manually enter.
- Job Profile
- This field identifies the job profile for which the posting is being created. Job_Profile from IRJP (P2K_RE_JOB_PROFILES) is a mandatory field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Title
- This field allows you to give the posting a descriptive title. Posting_Title is a mandatory 50-character alphanumeric field you must manually enter.
- Manager
- This field identifies the manager of this posting. Manager from IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Recruiter
- You may use this field to identify the recruiter for this posting. Recruiter from IRRE (P2K_RE_RECRUITERS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Entity
- This field displays the entity that is generating the posting. Entity from IDEN (P2K_CM_ENTITIES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
Postings tab#
The definition data for the Maintain Requisitions screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_POSTINGS table.
The following fields will usually be automatically filled once the ‘Position’ field has been completed. These values, however, may be changed in this screen.
- Status
- This field will display the status of the job posting. Posting_Status is a mandatory field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_POSTING_STATUS.
- Original Postings
- If this posting has been derived from another posting, that original posting will be listed here. Original_Posting from IRPO (P2K_RE_POSTINGS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Requisition Date
- This field will display the date for this requisition was created. Requisition_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Internal Opened
- This field will display the date the posting was open to internal candidates. Internal_Opened is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- General Opened
- This field displays the date the posting was opened to external candidates. General_Opened is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Posting Closed
- This field displays the date the posting was closed to new applicants. Posting_Closed is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Posting Filled
- If the posting been filled, this field will display the date a candidate was hired. Posting_Filled is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Source
- This field provides a reason for the posting. Posting_Source is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_POSTING_SOURCE.
- Priority
- The priority of the posting will be shown in this field. Posting_Priority is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_POSTING_PRIORITY.
- Type
- This field allows you to define the nature of the posting. Posting_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_POSTING_TYPE.
- Category
- This field allows you to classify the posting into a specific group. Posting_Category is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_POSTING_CATEGORY.
- Req.FTE
- This field will show the FTE required for this posting. Required_FTE is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Def.FTE
- This field shows the default FTE for this position used for forecasting and costing. Default_FTE is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Filled FTE
- If this posting has been filled, this field will show the amount of FTE that has been filled. Filled_FTE is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Position
- This field will display the position associated to this posting. Position from IDPS (P2K_CM_POSITIONS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Unit
- This field will display the unit associated with this posting. Unit from IDUN (P2K_CM_UNITS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Job
- This field will display the job associated with this posting. Job from IDJB (P2K_CM_JOBS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Department
- This field will display the department associated with this posting. Department from IDDP (P2K_CM_DEPARTMENTS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Group
- This field will display the group associated with this posting. Group from IDGR (P2K_CM_GROUPS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Work Rule
- This field will display the work rule associated with this posting. Work Rule from IDWR (P2K_CM_WORK_RULES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Location
- This field will display the location associated with this posting. Location from IDLN (P2K_CM_LOCATIONS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Posting Text
- This field allows you to provide additional information about the posting. Posting_Text is an optional 4000-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
Assignment tab#
- Employment Type
- This field allows you to define the type of the employment for the assignment. Employment_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_EMPLOYMENT_TYPE.
- Responsibility Level
- This field identifies the level of responsibility for the assignment. Responsibility_Level is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RESPONSIBILITY_LEVEL.
- Language Class
- This field identifies the language(s) used in this assignment. Language_Class is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_LANGUAGE_CLASS.
- Group Type
- This field displays the type of group for this assignment. Group_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_GROUP_TYPE.
- Work Type
- This field further groups the assignment into work types. Work_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_WORK_TYPE.
- WCB Class
- This field identifies the workers compensation for this assignment. WCB_Class is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_WCB_CLASS.
- Assign. Start Date
- This field will show the date the assignment is to start. Assignment_Start_Date is mandatory field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Assign. End Date
- If this assignment is date–sensitive, the last date of the assignment will be displayed here. Assignment_End_Date is mandatory field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Hours Per Day
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment. Hours_Per_Day is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Hours Per Week
- This field shows the average weekly hours associated with this assignment. Hours_Per_Week is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Range
- This field will show the salary range for this assignment. Range from ISSR (P2K_SA_SALARY_RANGES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Scale
- This field will show the wage scale for this assignment. Scale from ISWS (P2K_SA_WAGE_SCALES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Wage Rate
- This field will show the wage rate for this assignment. Wage_Rate is an optional 18-character numeric field you may fill manually.
- Rate Basis
- This field shows the rate basis that the wage is expressed in. Rate_Basis is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RATE_BASIS.
Job Profile tab#
The definition data for the Job Profiles screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_JOB_PROFILES table.
The following fields will usually be automatically filled once the ‘Job Profile’ field has been completed. These values CANNOT be changed in this screen.
- Profile Title
- This field displays the specific title of the job profile.
- Profile Type
- This field displays the nature of the job profile.
- Profile Status
- This field will display the status of the job profile.
- Job Purpose
- This field has been provided to allow you to describe the purpose of the job within the company.
- Job Function
- This field allows you to describe the function of and services provided by the job within the company.
- Prerequisites
- This field allows you to describe the required skills and experience need for this profile.
- Compensation
- This field allows you to define the compensation associated with this profile, such as salary, wage step, benefits, etc.
- Wk Environment
- This field describes the work environment this job profile is situation in.
i.e. office, factory, wheat field, etc.
- Wk Eligibility
- If the job profile is only open to a certain group(s), for example, only to unionized employees, that eligibility condition will be indicated here.
- EEO Statement
- This field allows you to include the equal employment opportunity statement with the posting for this work profile.
- How to Apply
- This field allows you to describe the process by which a candidate to this job would apply.
Requirements tab#
- Type
- This field defines the nature of the requirement.
- Description
- This field displays a short description of the requirement being defined.
- Category
- This field further categorizes the requirement.
- Start Date / End Date
- If the requirement is time sensitive, the first and last date needed will be displayed in these fields.
i.e. If the position must cover additional duties, such as word processing, for a year until another position for those duties can be created.
- Priority
- This field ranks the requirement in order of priority for this job profile.
- Desired Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency preferred for this requirement.
- Essential Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency essential for this requirement.
- Text
- This field provides further details and information about the requirement being defined.
Costs tab#
The definition data for the Costs screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_RECRUITING_COSTS table.
- Cost Date
- This field displays the date the recruiting related cost was incurred. Cost_Date is mandatory field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Cost Item Category
- This field allows you to classify the cost item into a specific category. Cost_Item_Category is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_COST_ITEM_CATEGORY.
- Cost Amount
- This field displays the actual amount of the cost incurred. Cost_Amount is an optional 18-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the cost. Description is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Employer Percent
- This field will indicate the percentage of the cost that will be covered by the employer. Employer_Percent is an optional 5-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Cost Reference
- This field will indicate the percentage of the cost that will be covered by the employer. Employer_Percent is an optional 5-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Candidate
- If the cost is related to a specific candidate, that individual may be identified in this field. Candidate from IRCA (P2K_RE_CANDIDATES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Recruiter
- If the cost is related to a specific recruiter, that recruiter may be identified in this field. Recruiters from IRRE (P2K_RE_RECRUITERS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
Recruiters tab#
The definition data for the Recruiters screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_RECRUITER_USAGES table.
- Sequence
- This field allows you to specify the order in which the recruiters will be employed for the posting. Sequence is a mandatory 5-character numeric field that you must manually enter.
- Recruiter
- This field identifies the recruiters used in this posting. Recruiter from IRRE (P2K_RE_RECRUITERS) is a mandatory field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Status
- This field indicates the status of the posting with the recruiter. Recruiter_Status is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RECRUITER_STATUS.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the recruiter. Description is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Start Date
- This field indicates the date the posting was opened with the recruiter. Start_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- End Date
- This field indicates the date the posting was closed with the recruiter. End_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- External Entity ID
- If the external recruiter has created an identification code for the entity, that code will be displayed in this field. External_Entity_ID is an optional 16-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- External Posting ID
- If the external recruiter has created an identification code for the posting, that code will be displayed in this field. External_Posting_ID is an optional 16-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Placed By
- This field will identify, by assignment code, the employee who placed the posting with the recruiter. Placed_By from IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Recruiter Type
- This field allows you to classify the recruiter into specific types. Recruiter_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RECRUITER_TYPE.
- Category
- This field allows you to further classify the recruiters. Category is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_RECRUITER_CATEGORY.
- Company Name
- This field displays the company name of the recruiter. Company_Name is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may fill manually.
- Contact Name
- This field displays the contact name for the recruiter agency. Contact_Name is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may fill manually.
- Phone
- This field provides a phone number for the recruiter. Phone_Number is an optional 20-character alphanumeric field you may fill manually.
- Extension
- This field provides a phone extension for the recruiter. Phone_Extension is an optional 16-character alphanumeric field you may fill manually.
- Email Address
- This field provides an email address for the recruiter. Email_Address is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may fill manually.
Applicants tab#
The definition data for the Applicants screen is stored in the
P2K_RE_APPLICATIONS table.
- Candidate
- This field identifies the candidate submitting an application for the posting. Candidate from IRCA (P2K_RE_CANDIDATES) is a mandatory field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Name
- This field displays the name of the candidate. Name is an optional 16-character alphanumeric code you may fill manually.
- Application
- This field displays a user-defined code that uniquely identifies the application. Application_Code is a mandatory 16-character alphanumeric field that you must manually enter.
- Application Status
- This field displays the current status of the application. Application_Status is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_APPLICATION_STATUS.
- Stage
- This field lets you identify the status of the application. Application_Stage is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_APPLICATION_STAGE.
- Application Opened
- This field indicates when the recruiters received the application. Application_Opened is a mandatory field you must fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Application Closed
- This field indicates when recruiters where finished with the application. Application_Closed is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Application Rating
- This field provides the rating of the application in the recruiting process. Application_Rating is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_APPLICATION_RATING.
- Stage Desc
- This field allows you to identify specific steps within the application stage. Stage_Desc is a mandatory field you must fill through the LOV (F9). Values for the LOV can be created and maintained on the Job Profile IRJP screen.
- Offered Date
- If an offer of employment has been made, this field will display the date the offer was made. Offered_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Response Date
- If an offer of employment has been made, this field will display the date a response from the candidate was received. Response_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Response Indication
- This field will display the status of the candidate’s response. Response_Indication is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RESPONSE_INDICATION.
- Reason for Rejection
- This field allows you to provide a reason why the applicant was rejected for the posting. Reason_For_Rejection is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_REASON_FOR_REJECTION.
- Reason for Decline
- If the applicant declined a job offer for the posting, you may identify a reason in this field. Reason_For_Decline is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_REASON_FOR_DECLINE.
- Application Text
- This field will allow you to provide additional information about the applicant/application. Application_Text is an optional 4000-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
The following fields will usually be automatically filled, however, these values may be changed in this screen.
- Assignment to Replace
- If the candidate to be hired has another assignment in the entity, that assignment is identified in this field. Assignment_To_Replace from IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Assignment Title
- This field provides the title of the assignment this posting is recruiting for. Assignment_Title is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Assignment Start Date
- If the assignment is date sensitive, the first date of the assignment will be indicated in this field. Assignment_Start_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Assignment End Date
- If the assignment is date sensitive, the last date of the assignment will be indicated in this field. Assignment_End_Date is an optional field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- FTE
- This field will show the full time equivalent associated with this assignment. FTE is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Hours Per Day
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment. Hours_Per_Day is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Hours Per Week
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment. Hours_Per_Week is an optional 9-character numeric field you may enter manually.
- Scale/Step
- This field displays the wage scale for this assignment. Scale_Step from ISWS (P2K_SA_WAGE_SCALES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Wage Rate
- This field displays the wage rate for this assignment. Wage_Rate is an optional 18-character numeric field you may fill manually.
- Rate Basis
- This field displays the basis in which the wage rate is expressed. Rate_Basis is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RATE_BASIS.
- Scale Overridden
- If the toggle is ON, the displayed wage rate has been keyed manually, and is different from the rate on the wage scale table. If the toggle is OFF, either the wage rate has been derived from the wage scale table or wage scale tables are not being used. Scale_Overridden is an optional field.
- Hire
- The ‘Hire’ button allows you to hire a candidate for the posting.
Recruiting Logs tab#
- Date/Time
- This field displays the day and time of the recruiting log. Recruiting_Log_Timestamp is a mandatory field you may fill either manually or using the calendar (F9).
- Type
- This field identifies the nature of the recruitment log. Recruiting_Log_Type is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the fixed lexicon X_RECRUITING_LOG_TYPE.
- Category
- This field allows you to further classify the recruiting log into specific groups. Recruiting_Log_Category is an optional field you may fill with a selection from the user-defined lexicon X_RECRUITING_LOG_CATEGORY.
- Candidate
- This field displays the candidate associated with this recruiting log. Candidate from IRCA (P2K_RE_CANDIDATES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Recruiter
- This field displays the recruiter associated with this recruiting log. Recruiter from IRRE (P2K_RE_RECRUITERS) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Entered For
- This field allows you to indicate for whom or what (position, job profile, candidate) this log is entered. Entered_For is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the recruiting log. Description is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
- Log Text
- This field provides additional information about the recruiting log. Log_Text is an optional 4000-character alphanumeric field you may enter manually.
