MAINTAIN POSTINGS#
Requisitions are entered as postings through the Maintain Postings (IRPO) screen.They are entered with a special status and are uniquely identified within an entity by a posting code. Requisitions may be very general or detailed and may be for a department, location, unit, group, job or position; however, they MUST be associated with a job profile.
Once the recruiting process is completed, the posting may be closed by selecting an appropriate choice from the lexicon in the ‘Status’ field. Please note that a posting does NOT have to be filled to be closed.
The definition data for the Maintain Requisitions screen is stored in the P2K_RE_POSTINGS, and P2K_RE_JOB_PROFILES, P2K_RE_RECRUITING_COSTS, P2K_RE_RECRUITER_USAGES, and P2K_RE_APPLICATIONS tables.
- Posting
- This field displays a user-defined code that uniquely identifies the postings.
- Job Profile
- This field identifies the posting for which the posting is being created.
- Title
- This field allows you to give the posting a descriptive title.
- Manager
- This field identifies the manager of this postings.
- Recruiter
- You may use this field to identify the recruiter for this postings.
- Entity
- This field displays the entity that is generating the postings.
Postings tab#
The definition data for the Maintain Requisitions screen is stored in the P2K_RE_POSTINGS table.The following fields will usually be automatically filled once the ‘Position’ field has been completed. These values, however, may be changed in this screen.
- Status
- This field will display the status of the postings.
- Original Postings
- If this posting has been derived from another postings, that original posting will be listed here.
- Requisition Date
- This field will display the date for this requisition was created.
- Internal Opened
- This field will display the date the postings was open to internal candidates.
- General Opened
- This field displays the date the postings was opened to external candidates.
- Posting Closed
- This field displays the date the postings was closed to new applicants.
- Posting Filled
- If the postings been filled, this field will display the date a candidate was hired.
- Source
- This field provides a reason for the postings.
- Priority
- The priority of the postings will be shown in this field.
- Type
- This field allows you to define the nature of the postings.
- Category
- This field allows you to classify the postings into a specific group.
- Req.FTE
- This field will show the FTE required for this postings.
- Def.FTE
- This field shows the default FTE for this position used for forecasting and costing.
- Filled FTE
- If this posting has been filled, this field will show the amount of FTE that has been filled.
- Position
- This field will display the position associated to this postings.
- Unit
- This field will display the unit associated with this postings.
- Job
- This field will display the job associated with this postings.
- Department
- This field will display the department associated with this postings.
- Group
- This field will display the group associated with this postings.
- Work Rule
- This field will display the work rule associated with this postings.
- Location
- This field will display the location associated with this postings.
- Posting Text
- This field allows you to provide additional information about the postings.
Assignment tab#
- Employment Type
- This field allows you to define the type of the employment for the assignment.
- Responsibility Level
- This field identifies the level of responsibility for the assignment.
- Language Class
- This field identifies the language(s) used in this assignment.
- Group Type
- This field displays the type of group for this assignment.
- Work Type
- This field further groups the assignment into work types.
- WCB Class
- This field identifies the workers compensation for this assignment.
- Assign. Start Date
- This field will show the date the assignment is to start.
- Assign. End Date
- If this assignment is date–sensitive, the last date of the assignment will be displayed here.
- Hours Per Day
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment.
- Hours Per Week
- This field shows the average weekly hours associated with this assignment.
- Range
- This field will show the salary range for this assignment. Range from ISSR (P2K_SA_SALARY_RANGES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Scale
- This field will show the wage scale for this assignment. Scale from ISWS (P2K_SA_WAGE_SCALES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Wage Rate
- This field will show the wage rate for this assignment.
- Rate Basis
- This field shows the rate basis that the wage is expressed in.
Job Profile tab#
The definition data for the Job Profiles screen is stored in the P2K_RE_JOB_PROFILES table.The following fields will usually be automatically filled once the ‘Job Profile’ field has been completed. These values CANNOT be changed in this screen.
- Profile Title
- This field displays the specific title of the job profile.
- Profile Type
- This field displays the nature of the job profile.
- Profile Status
- This field will display the status of the job profile.
- Job Purpose
- This field has been provided to allow you to describe the purpose of the job within the company.
- Job Function
- This field allows you to describe the function of and services provided by the job within the company.
- Prerequisites
- This field allows you to describe the required skills and experience need for this profile.
- Compensation
- This field allows you to define the compensation associated with this profile, such as salary, wage step, benefits, etc.
- How to Apply
- This field allows you to describe the process by which a candidate to this job would apply.
- Wk Environment
- This field describes the work environment this job profile is situation in.
- Wk Eligibility
- If the job profile is only open to a certain group(s), for example, only to unionized employees, that eligibility condition will be indicated here.
- EEO Statement
- This field allows you to include the equal employment opportunity statement with the posting for this work profile.
Recruiters#
- Sequence
- This field allows you to specify the order in which the recruiters will be employed for the posting.
- Recruiter
- This field identifies the recruiters used in this postings.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the recruiter.
- Status
- This field indicates the status of the posting with the recruiter.
- Recruiter Type
- This field allows you to classify the recruiter into specific types.
- Company Name
- This field displays the company name of the recruiter.
- Contact Name
- This field displays the contact name for the recruiter agency.
- Phone
- This field provides a phone number for the recruiter.
- Extension
- This field provides a phone extension for the recruiter.
- Email Address
- This field provides an email address for the recruiter.
Requirements tab#
- Type
- This field defines the nature of the requirement.
- Description
- This field displays a short description of the requirement being defined.
- Category
- This field further categorizes the requirement.
- Start Date / End Date
- If the requirement is time sensitive, the first and last date needed will be displayed in these fields.
- Priority
- This field ranks the requirement in order of priority for this job profile.
- Desired Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency preferred for this requirement.
- Essential Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency essential for this requirement.
- Text
- This field provides further details and information about the requirement being defined.
Costs tab#
The definition data for the Costs screen is stored in the P2K_RE_RECRUITING_COSTS table.- Cost Date
- This field displays the date the recruiting related cost was incurred.
- Cost Item Category
- This field allows you to classify the cost item into a specific category.
- Cost Amount
- This field displays the actual amount of the cost incurred.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the cost.
- Employer Percent
- This field will indicate the percentage of the cost that will be covered by the employer.
- Cost Reference
- This field will indicate the percentage of the cost that will be covered by the employer.
- Candidate
- If the cost is related to a specific candidate, that individual may be identified in this field.
- Recruiter
- If the cost is related to a specific recruiter, that recruiter may be identified in this field.
Recruiters tab#
The definition data for the Recruiters screen is stored in the P2K_RE_RECRUITER_USAGES table.- Sequence
- This field allows you to specify the order in which the recruiters will be employed for the posting.
- Recruiter
- This field identifies the recruiters used in this postings.
- Status
- This field indicates the status of the posting with the recruiter.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the recruiter.
- Start Date
- This field indicates the date the posting was opened with the recruiter.
- End Date
- This field indicates the date the postings was closed with the recruiter.
- External Entity ID
- If the external recruiter has created an identification code for the entity, that code will be displayed in this field.
- External Posting ID
- If the external recruiter has created an identification code for the posting, that code will be displayed in this field.
- Placed By
- This field will identify, by assignment code, the employee who placed the postings with the recruiter.
- Recruiter Type
- This field allows you to classify the recruiter into specific types.
- Category
- This field allows you to further classify the recruiters.
- Company Name
- This field displays the company name of the recruiter.
- Contact Name
- This field displays the contact name for the recruiter agency.
- Phone
- This field provides a phone number for the recruiter.
- Extension
- This field provides a phone extension for the recruiter.
- Email Address
- This field provides an email address for the recruiter.
Applicants tab#
The definition data for the Applicants screen is stored in the P2K_RE_APPLICATIONS table.- Candidate
- This field identifies the candidate submitting an application for the posting.
- Name
- This field displays the name of the candidate.
- Application
- This field displays a user-defined code that uniquely identifies the application.
- Application Status
- This field displays the current status of the application.
- Stage
- This field lets you identify the stage of the application. .
- Application Opened
- This field indicates when the recruiters received the application.
- Application Closed
- This field indicates when recruiters where finished with the application.
- Application Rating
- This field provides the rating of the application in the recruiting process.
- Stage Desc
- This field allows you to identify specific steps within the application stage. Stage_Desc is a mandatory field you must fill through the LOV (F9). Values for the LOV can be created and maintained on the Job Profile IRJP screen.
- Offered Date
- If an offer of employment has been made, this field will display the date the offer was made.
- Response Date
- If an offer of employment has been made, this field will display the date a response from the candidate was received.
- Response Indication
- This field will display the status of the candidate’s response.
- Reason for Rejection
- This field allows you to provide a reason why the applicant was rejected for the posting.
- Reason for Decline
- If the applicant declined a job offer for the postings, you may identify a reason in this field.
- Application Text
- This field will allow you to provide additional information about the applicant/application.
- Assignment to Replace
- If the candidate to be hired has another assignment in the entity, that assignment is identified in this field.
- Assignment Title
- This field provides the title of the assignment this postings is recruiting for.
- Assignment Start Date
- If the assignment is date sensitive, the first date of the assignment will be indicated in this field.
- Assignment End Date
- If the assignment is date sensitive, the last date of the assignment will be indicated in this field.
- FTE
- This field will show the full time equivalent associated with this assignment.
- Hours Per Day
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment.
- Hours Per Week
- This field shows the average daily hours associated with this assignment.
- Scale/Step
- This field displays the wage scale for this assignment. Scale_Step from ISWS (P2K_SA_WAGE_SCALES) is an optional field you must fill through the LOV (F9).
- Wage Rate
- This field displays the wage rate for this assignment.
- Rate Basis
- This field displays the basis in which the wage rate is expressed.
- Scale Overridden
- If the toggle is ON, the displayed wage rate has been keyed manually, and is different from the rate on the wage scale table. If the toggle is OFF, either the wage rate has been derived from the wage scale table or wage scale tables are not being used.
- Hire
- The ‘Hire’ button allows you to hire a candidate for the postings.
Recruiting Logs tab#
- Date/Time
- This field displays the day and time of the recruiting log.
- Type
- This field identifies the nature of the recruitment log.
- Category
- This field allows you to further classify the recruiting log into specific groups.
- Candidate
- This field displays the candidate associated with this recruiting log.
- Recruiter
- This field displays the recruiter associated with this recruiting log.
- Entered For
- This field allows you to indicate for whom or what (position, job profile, candidate) this log is entered.
- Description
- This field allows you to provide a short description of the recruiting log.
- Log Text
- This field provides additional information about the recruiting log.
