Table Alias is an abbreviated format of the table name which is used in the formation of triggers, sequences, foreign key names and so on. This is important as it is often much easier to use the abbreviation (i.e. EASD) rather than constantly spelling out the table name in full (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENT_DETAILS)
