DEFINE CLOCK DEVICES#
Clock devices may be used to record employee in/out times. The ITCD function is used to define and maintain clock device records.
Clock device codes must be unique within an entity.
Clock devices may be designated as active or not active.
Clock entries are accepted from only “active” clock devices.
A clock device may be assigned to a location, department, work area or workstation in order to associate all clock entries from that device to the specific area.
A clock device may be assigned to a cost center in order associate all clock entries from that device to the cost center.
If using Clock Devices in conjunction with the G1 or G2 interface, each terminal (i.e. time clock) should be given a Machine Name that corresponds to a Clock Device Code in Personality. This will be stored in the reference information of the clock entry.

Define Clock Devices data is stored in the P2K_TS_CLOCK_DEVICES table.
- Clock Device
- This is the user-defined location code that uniquely identifies the clock device.
- Device Status
- This field describes the status of the clock device.
- Description
- This field allows the user to give additional information and description about the clock device.
Device Details#
- Work Station
- This field allows the user to associate the clock device with a workstation.
- Work Area
- This field allows the user to associate the clock device with a work area.
- Department
- This field allows the user to associate the clock device with a department.
- Location
- This field allows the user to associate the clock device with a specific location.
- Cost Center
- This field allows user to associate the clock device to a cost center.
- Generates Undetermined Punches
- This toggle will enable undetermined clock punches to be generated for the clock device.
Last Known Status#
- Last Ping
- This field will display the time stamp of the last ping from a G1 or G2 time clock.
- Device Information
- This field will display clock information from a G1 or G2 time clock.
Allowed Clock Cards#
This section displays the clock cards that are allowed for the clock device.- Clock Card
- This is the user-defined location code that uniquely identifies the clock card.
- Employee
- This field displays the employee who is assigned the clock card.
