DEFINE HOLIDAY CALENDARS #
The Holiday Calendar defines the annual holiday schedules that are used by the organization. It specifies the dates and names of the public holidays employees may take, as well as any organization specific holiday arrangements. Holiday calendars are used by time entry, work scheduling and pay generation processes to determine any default holiday rules that should be applied.

The holiday calendar screen has the ability to use the deep copy facility and copy a previously defined calendar.
By clicking on the deep copy button, you will be presented with a small sub-screen where you must provide the name of the new holiday calendar to be created.
Holiday Calendar data is stored in the P2K_CM_HOLIDAY_CALENDARS and P2K_CM_HOLIDAY_DETAILS table.

- This field holds the user-defined time code that uniquely identifies the holiday calendar.

- This field holds the user-defined description of the use and purpose of the holiday calendar.
- Holiday Date
- This field displays the calendar date of the holiday.
- Holiday Identity
- This field identifies the name, occasion or reason for the holiday.
- Holiday Type
- This field indicates if the holiday is a legal/statutory, religious, or company holiday.
- Holiday Rule
- This field indicates whether the holiday is designated as a paid day off, scheduled workday, or if it varies by work schedule.
- Start_Time
- This field displays the time the holiday begins.
- Hours per Day
- This field displays the number of hours to be paid for the holiday. This
- Holiday OT Factor
- This field displays the premium factor that is to be applied for any time worked on this day. This field will multiply the hours generated for the holiday by the number define here.

- Generate Time
- If the Generate Time toggle is ON, the holiday time will be generated under the time code(s) indicated.
- Override TS Generation
- If the Override TS Generation toggle is ON, holidays will not be awarded from Time Scheduling.
- Holiday_Time_Code
- This is the time code to be used to give the employee credit for the holiday. It may be leave time taken or banked.
- Worked_Time_Code
- This is the time code to be used for the time an employee is scheduled to work on the holiday.
- Day_Off_Time_Code
- This is the time code to be used to give the employee credit for a holiday that falls on a day off. If this is not supplied, the Holiday Time Code is used.
- Observed On
- This field allows you to change the date a holiday is observed on. For example, a statutory holiday is on a Friday, but you wish to set it on the system for the next scheduled work day.
