The UPUTR screen loads US Tax Rates and US State Miscellaneous Parameters into the system
Report Parameters | |
---|---|
Effective Date | Mandatory,Date, LOV Available You must enter an Effective date for the tax rates. |
Remove Old Tax Rates | Optional,Yes or No lexicon available If <YES>, the report will remove old IPUTR Tax Rates that match the specified Effective date. You may run UPUTR to remove old tax rates without loading new rates, which allows you to clean up historical tax rates. |
Load Tax Rates | Optional,Yes or No lexicon available If <YES>, the report load IPUTR Tax Rates for the specified Effective date and selected states If this toggle is set to <<Yes>>, you do not need to set the 'Remove Old Tax Rates' toggle to <<Yes>>. UPUTR will automatically match or create new entries with the same Effective date. This is because UPUTR needs to retain the Overridden User Rates and therefore cannot remove Old Rates of the same Effective Date before loading. |
Load State Misc Parms | Optional,Yes or No lexicon available If <YES>, the report will load IPUTP Tax Parameters for selected states. |
Country | Mandatory You must enter the Country code in order to filter the list of states. |
State | Optional You may enter list of states to be processed. If no states are entered in this field, then all states will be processed. If you wish to load Federal rates, you must select 'Federal' from the list of states. If you wish to load County or City rates, you MUST enter a list of states and then enter the Jurisdictions parameters below. |
Load All Jurisdiction | Optional,Yes or No lexicon available By default, this toggle is set to <<No>>, which means that the Jurisdiction Tax Rates will not be automatically loaded for each jurisdiction. This is because the volume of information would affect the performance of UPUTR. Some users may pay into jurisdictions that have taxes while others do not. If you wish to view the Tax Rates by Jurisdictions on IPUTR, you may: (1) either select <<Yes>> for this toggle to load all Jurisdiction Tax Rates into IPUTR for all IDTX entries for the state, (2) or enter a list of jurisdictions in the following field. Note: IPUTR Jurisdiction entries are for information only. The tax calculation will actually be calculated directly from the Symmetry Tax Server; the rates (except for Overridden rates) are not picked up from IPUTR. |
Load Only Jurisdiction | Optional This field allows you to enter a list of jurisdictions in order to load in the County or City rates. (e.g. City of Yonkers) Note If the "Load All Jurisdiction" toggle is set to <<Yes>>, this toggle will not be used. |
Trial | Optional, to allow user to run in Trial or Update mode this allows user to review the Run Log report prior to Update |
Trial | Optional, Yes or No lexicon available You may choose to run the report in a trial mode to see results <Yes> or in update mode <No>. If this toggle is set to <<No>, IPMT, IPUTR screens will be updated. |
Print Details | Optional, Yes or No lexicon available//If <Yes> then the report will show the detailed dump of the Tax Rates and State Misc Tax Parameter information If you choose <<Yes>> for this toggle, the report size may be quite large, therefore you should leave this report to the default of << No>> unless for tracing purposes. |
Exception Level | Optional, Exception Level lexicon available This field defines the exception level (report messages) required. You should run the report with this toggle set to <<Exceptions Only>>. If this toggle is set to <<Utility Trace>>, the report may be over several hundred pages. |
User Comments | Optional, Text This field holds the user-supplied comment which will appear in the header of all pages of the report. This is useful during testing phases to identify similar reports from each other. |
