MAINTAIN CLOCK ENTRIES#
When using an ‘external clock’, clock devices are polled one or more times during a day. Incoming data from the clock devices is loaded as clock entries using LMTD. Clock entries can be viewed and adjusted through the ITCE function.
When using the G1 or G2 clock interface, the clock times are processed directly through the interface.
When using the WPCIO, clock entries are created immediately when the employee uses the ‘Clock In’ or the ‘Clock Out’ icons.
The clock entries are processed when the employee submits the entry.
Features:
- The source and type of the clock entry is recorded
- Cost center and job information may be provided if smart clock(s) are being used
- All changes to the original clock date and time are recorded as adjustments
- Daily Pairing Information
Maintain Clock Entries definition data can be found on the P2K_TS_CLOCK_ENTRIES table.
Clock Entries#
- Date
- This field displays the date for the clock entry.
- Original Time
- This field displays the time of the clock entry.
- Type
- This field identifies the type of clock entry being made.
- Adjusted Time
- If the clock has a rounding rule associated with the entries, and the highlighted entry has the rounding rule applied to it, that adjusted time will be shown here. For instance, if the rounding rule takes the clock in time to the next 5 minute mark, and they employee has punched in at 9:03, the time displayed as ‘adjusted time’ will be 9:05.
- Status
- This field displays the status of the card entry.
- Source
- This field indicates where the clock entry came from, i.e:system generated, manually modified
- Authorization
- This field will display the status of Authorization/Approval and may be used in conjunction with the WVDAPC.
- Clock
- This field indicates the clock card the employee is using for their clock entry.
- Device
- This field displays the clock device the employee used to make their clock entry.
- Reference Information
- This field will allow the user to include any additional information about the time entry. This field may be used to indicate the clock device if the G1 or G2 interface is used. Each time clock would be given a Machine Name that corresponds to a clock device (ITCD) in Wiki. This code would be stored in the reference information for each clock entry.
- Audit Info
- This field indicates the clock card the employee is using for their clock entry.
- Process Entry
- This feature allows the user to ‘process’ an individual clock entry.
- Re-process Future Missing Punches
- This button allows the user to re-process future missing punches.
- Time Code
- This field indicates the time code for this entry.
- Job
- This field identifies the job and unit associated with the employee for this card entry.
- Department
- This field identifies the department associated with the employee for this card entry.
- Cost Center
- This field identifies the cost center associated with the employee for this card entry.
- Distribution Mask
- This field identifies the distribution code to receive part of all of the costs.
- Special conditions
- This field indicates the description of the time rule type associated to a special condition associated to this time card entry.
This dynamic feature allows the user to easily see the ‘paired’ clock entries for any specific day. The arrows on the calendar date may be used to move forward and back either one week or one year. Once a date is highlighted the paired clock entries and paired exception time are available. If the clock entries are associated with a shift, the shift information will be displayed.
