Quick Hire Employees#
The Quick Hire Employees (IEQH) screen is designed to allow you to create new employees through the system with the minimum amount of information. It will also display the same consolidated information for existing employees.
Clicking on the Add icon will present you with a new screen to add basic employee information.
Personal Info#
- Entity
- The entity code that the employee is being hired into. This may not be changed once it is saved. You may add additional employment records for different entities in IEHR. This a required field.
- Person Code
- This field shows the unique code or number assigned to this employee by the organization (i.e. employee number, personal ID number, badge number). This code may be defined as system generated through IMCS (P2K_AM_CODE_SEQUENCES). This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- First Name
- This is the first name legally used by the employee. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Last Name
- This is the last name legally used by the employee. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Gov’t Code Origin
- This field identifies the country that generated the employee’s government code.

- SSN
- This is the government code (Social Security Number / Social Insurance Number) of the employee.

- Date of Birth
- This is the date of birth of the employee. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Gender
- Select from the lexicon list for Male or Female. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Ethnicity
- Select from the lexicon list for the ethnic code of the employee, for Equal Opportunity/Employment Equity purposes. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Address 1 and Address 2
- These fields define the address for the employee’s home address.

- City
- This field defines the city for the employee’s home address. This a required field maintained on IEPI (P2K_HR_PERSONALS).
- State
- This field defines the state (and tax jurisdiction) for the employee’s home address. This a required field maintained on IEPI (P2K_HR_PERSONALS).
- Postal Code
- This field defines the city for the employee’s home address. This a required field maintained on IEPI (P2K_HR_PERSONALS).
- Phone #
- This is the employee's home phone number. This an optional field maintained on IEPI (P2K_HR_PERSONALS).
- Cellular #
- This is the employee's cellular number. This an optional field maintained on IEPI (P2K_HR_PERSONALS).
- Email
- This field displays the employee’s email address.
- Marital Status
- This field displays the employee’s marital status.
Job Info#
- Employment Type
- This field associates the employee to a specific employment type. i.e. employee, contract, retiree, volunteer.
- Hire Date
- The hire date is the date that the employment agreement or period of employment commences. This a required field maintained on IEID (P2K_HR_IDENTITIES).
- Start Date / End Date
- These field define the start and end date of the prime assignment. This a required field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Assignment
- This field displays the employee’s assignment. This a required field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Position
- This is the position to which the employee is assigned. Using positions will result in many fields having defaulted values inherited from the position definition. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Job
- This field indicates the task that the employee is hired to perform. The job must be within the Unit that is indicated. May be defaulted by Position. This a required field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Title
- The title of the employee’s job is displayed in this field.
- Department
- This field shows the department to which the employee is assigned. May be defaulted by Position.

- Unit
- This is the unit that the employee is affiliated to. This a required field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Group
- This shows the group code that determines the policy rules under which the employee must be processed. May be defaulted by Position. This a required field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Work Rule
- The work rule associated with the job will be displayed in this field.
- Status
- This field displays the employee’s employment status. ie. active, leave
- Range
- This field displays the minimum and maximum salary payable for the job. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Scale / Step
- This field displays the scale/step code used to default to an employee's assignment record. May be defaulted by Position or Job. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Basis
- This field displays the rate basis the wage rate is being stored or displayed in. i.e. hourly, weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly or annually. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Fulltime Wage
- If the FTE indicated in the Work Arrangement area is less than 1.00, this toggle will indicate whether the displayed salary or wage is the full time equivalent amount.
- Hours Per Day
- This field shows the average daily hours the employee works. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Hours Per Week
- This field shows the average weekly hours the employee works. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Hours Per Pay
- This field shows the average hours the employee works within a pay period. This an optional field maintained on IEAS (P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS).
- Email
- This field displays the email associated with the job.
- Supervisor
- This field displays the supervisor responsible for this job.
