GRIEVANCE
Back to current versionRestore this version

A grievance is a formal dispute between a union, set of employees or an individual and a company that is based on clauses in a labor agreement. Grievances may originate from complaint; however, not all grievances result from a complaint.

Grievance Process#

Grievance Rules could be outlined by a union’s contract or agreement and may state the steps required for that particular union grievance process.

The Define Grievance Rules (ILGR) form allows you to define these rules within ePersonality. In addition to identifying the steps for the rule, you may define the time windows for responses associated with each step.

The Report Grievance Rules (RLGR) form allows you to produce a report providing information about the grievance rules defined in ILGR.

Grievance Records#

The Record Grievances (ILGV) form allows you to record all grievances submitted by an employee, union or by an entire location or department. This form will display all people involved such as the employee and union representative in the grievance without allowing duplicates. In addition, ILGV can track the status and stage of the grievance, all correspondence, and costs related to the grievance. This form can also track each step the grievance goes through complete with signatures and comments.

The Report Grievance (RLGV) form allows you to produce a report providing information about the grievance created in ILGV.

The labor relations application also provides two forms that allow you to quickly view complaints and grievances created in the other forms. These two forms are VLGQ, which allows you to see complaints and grievances by employee, and VLGA that will display upcoming grievance activities, based upon the rules defined.

The View Upcoming Grievance Activities (VLGA) screen allows you to see all complaints and grievances lodge by an employee and the related details.
