Schedule Work Area Vacancies#
The Work Area Schedules (DTSWA) screen allows authorized users to:
- view/override detailed shift information
- view/update generated time exceptions
- manual enter time exceptions
- view and select from a list of employees qualified for the work area
- view a log of any calls that have been made
Detailed schedules are based on generated time entries derived from:
- Operational definitions
- Team post assignments
- Holiday calendars
- Planned leaves
- Clock entries from polled clock devices
- Time entries submitted electronically from other systems or the WEB
Schedules show daily details a week at a time from a specified date.
Shift times are shown for each day for each work team or worker.
- Dynamic Calendars
- To allow companies to specify the start of the work week
- In IMST in preference tab add 1ST_DAY_OF_WEEK(System_Preference) preference; with a value of 1 thru 7; 1 representing Sunday to 7 representing Saturday.
- Total Shifts
- This field displays the number of total shifts in the schedule for the selected Work Area.
- Total Vacancies
- This field displays the number of total vacancies in the schedule for the selected Work Area.
- Total Partial Vacancies
- The total number of partial vacancies displays in this field.
- Shift
- The scheduled shift displays in this field for the highlighted day.
- Shift Start Time
- The start time is derived from the shift for the highlighted day.
- Shift End Time
- The end time is derived from the shift for the highlighted day.
- O/R Shift Start Time
- The start time may be overridden using this field.
- O/R Shift End Time
- The end time the employee finishes his/her shift may be overridden here.
- Job
- The scheduled job code is displayed in this field.
- Department
- The department code of the scheduled team post will be displayed here.
- Complement
- The compliment field derives the employee who has filled the post.
- Must Be Present
- This field is populated from ITWS. If the toggle is ON, the system has automatically paired station posts with work teams to screen team posts.
Schedule tab#
- Worker
- The last name, first name and person code of the scheduled worker is displayed here.
- Start Time
- The start time the worker is scheduled to begin.
- End Time
- The end time the worker is scheduled to begin.
- Time Entry Type
- The type of time entry is displayed here, for example: Meal, Normal Work Time
- Job
- The scheduled job code displays here.
Time Exceptions tab#
- Type
- The time exception type is used to record the type of exceptions to the schedule. Time Exception Type is tied to the fixed lexicon X_TIME_EXCEPTION_TYPE.
- Worker
- The worker the time exception is for may be selected from the LOV.
- Start
- The start time of the time exception is stored in this field.
- End
- The end time of the time exception is stored in this field.
- Time Code
- The time code for which the time will be applied to will be selected in this field.
- Job
- The job code for which the time exception is to be created for.
- Action
- The purpose of the time exception is selected from the lexicon X_TIME_EXCEPTION_ACTION.
Qualified Workers#
- Rank
- This field indicates the hierarchical order in which the employees are qualified for the selected post.
- EE#
- This field indicates the person code of the qualified worker.
- Last
- This field displays the last name of the qualified worker.
- First
- This field displays the first name of the qualified worker.
- Assignment
- This field displays the assignment code of the qualified worker.
- Seniority
- The qualified worker's seniority date is displayed here.
- Restriction
- If the worker has defined work restrictions, these will be displayed here.
- Called
- This toggle indicates if a call was made to the employee.
- Show Restricted Workers
- This toggle enables the user to see all of the qualified workers who have restrictions.
- Spare Pool Only
- This toggle enables the user to show the workers in the spare pool.
This area displays other shifts the selected employee may be working:
- Date
- This field displays the date the employee is scheduled to work within the selected time frame above.
- Shift
- This field indicates the shift the employee is working on the date displayed in the previous field.
- Station Post
- This displays the work station code the employee is scheduled to work in on the scheduled day.
This area provides the user with three action buttons:
- Record Call Log
- This button will record that a call was made to the employee requesting if they are available to work for the post in focus.
- Schedule EE
- This button will schedule the employee into the post in focus.
- Goto EE's Schedule
- This button directs the user to the DTESH form for the employee in focus.
Call Logs tab#
- Employee
- This field displays the employee who the call was made to.
- Call Placed On
- This field displays the date the call was made on.
- Time of Call
- This field displays the time the call was made.
- Call Status
- The status of the call will be displayed in this field. Call_Status is tied to the fixed lexicon X_CALL_STATUS.
- Call Result
- This field displays the result of the call, ie: if the employee accepts work, declines work or calls in. This field is tied to the lexicon X_CALL_RESULT.
- Show all call logs for the day
- This action button allows the user to display all of the call logs for the day in focus.
