The Benefit Self Service module requires proper setup and configuration of benefits plans, rules and rates. Much of this will already be in place if you are already using the Benefits module; however, there are new forms and new fields in existing forms to support new benefit processes.

Employee Information #

Current employee information should be reviewed at the beginning of an Open Enrollment to ensure the employee's personal information is kept up to date.

Dependents / Beneficiaries #

Employee dependents/recipients may be updated using Benefit Self Service.

Life or Work Events #

Various Life / Work events may affect which benefit plans/coverages an employee may be eligible for. These events may be recorded in the application and may be defined to spawn Open Enrollemnts.

Open Enrollment #

An Open Enrollment period may be generated for one employee or for a group of employees. The Open Enrollment period may be for one benefit plan or it may be generated for many.

  • Benefit Election Exception Report (RBOE)

Benefit Elections #

With the Open Enrollment period open to the employees, the employees may review and submit their options through the Self Service application. The Benefit Administrator may also review and manage the benefit elections.

Process Enrollments#

When the elections have all been submitted the Benefit Administrator may process the elections to the IBEN form so the new elections may be processed during the payroll cycle.

Benefit Statements #

A review of the employee's benefit enrollments may done through various benefit statements.
