How Do I Promote an Employee?#

  1. Go to Manager Self Service > My Employees > Process Promotions (WMEPR)
  2. From the list of employees that directly or indirectly reporting to you, select (double-click on) the one you wish to promote. (See note regarding this initial list.)
  3. Enter the date that the change is to take place in the Effective field. You may click on the icon next to the field to select a date from the calendar.
  4. Enter the Change Reason for the promotion, transfer, or demotion. You may click on the LOV icon to choose from a list of reasons.
  5. Enter the new Position the employee will be starting. You may click on LOV icon to choose from a list of positions in your company.
  6. Verify the Title.
  7. Verify the Range and/or Scale/Step the employee will be starting. You may click on the LOV icon to choose from a list of positions in your company.
  8. Verify the Wage Rate and Basis.
  9. Save the changes.
