Frequency is a 16-character alphanumeric field that indicates how often, or for what types of pay, the transaction line will be created. The term “frequency” is used to control the timing of payroll deductions, benefits, and earnings. Frequencies are defined during Payroll training and once created may be accessed by the LOV.

‘Frequency’ is only applicable to the “Prem per Period” and “UPTG Period Premium” calculation method. However, if either of those methods are used, frequency is REQUIRED.

Time Rules also make use of Frequencies. The Time Rule Frequency indicates how often a particular time rule will be processed by the time rule engine. These frequencies are pre-defined for each time rule supplied with the application.

The Time Rules Tab on IDWR has been modified to show the Time Rule Frequency along with the override sequence.

When a time rule has been entered in IDWR the frequency will default in. Users will not have to manually update the current time rules in IDWR, the frequency will automatically be brought in.

X_TIME_RULE_FREQUENCY is a fixed lexicon with the following values:
