MAINTAIN JOB PROFILES#
The Maintain Job Profiles screen provides a complete list of the job profiles associated with the job postings within the database.Job profiles are established for postings to clearly define their purpose, functions and prerequisites. The job profile records contain information on compensation, work environment, employment eligibility, EEO status and how candidates may apply for the posting.
Job profiles are uniquely identified within an entity by a manually entered job profile code. Each profile is reusable and may be associated with several postings. In addition, they can also be easily cloned and tailored to handle special situations.
As companies routinely re-examine and upgrade their job profiles, the system has provided each profile with a 'last review' date.
The job profiles are listed at the top of the screen identified by the following fields:

Job Profile Details#
- Job Profile
- This field displays the code that uniquely identifies a job profile within a company. (Mandatory)
- Profile Status
- This field displays the status of the job profile. This field is tied to the lexicon X_JOB_PROFILE_STATUS.
- Entity
- This field identifies the entity to which the job profile belongs.
- Profile Title
- This field displays the specific title of the job profile.
- Category
- This user-defined field categorizes the job profile into a specific group.
- Profile Type
- This user-defined field identifies the profile as a specific type. This field is tied to the lexicon X_JOB_PROFILE_TYPE.
- Job Purpose
- This field displays the purpose of the job within the company.
- Wk Environment
- Work Environment; This field describes the work atmosphere in job will be performed. e.g. office, factory, wheat field, etc.
- Wk Eligibility
- Work Eligibility; This field describes any work eligibility restrictions associated with this job profile. e.g. ‘Must be eligible to work in United States’
- How to Apply
- This field describes the process by which a candidate would apply to this job.
Additional Details#
- Last Reviewed
- This field displays the last date the job profile was reviewed.
- Profile in Use
- If set to ’YES’, then the job profile is attached to a job, position or assignment. If set to NO’, then the job profile will not indicate that it is use.
- Auto Posting
- If set to ’YES’, then a posting may be created when Generate Posting (URPO) is run. If set to ’NO’, then no posting will be generated
- Auto Application
- This feature is not currently unavailable.
- Days
- This field indicates the number of days this profile is valid.
- Web Address
- This field displays the web address where additional information or a company profile may be viewed.
- Job Function
- This field describes the functions of and services provided by the job within the company.
- Prerequisites
- This field describes the required skills and experience needed for the profile.
- Compensation
- This field defines the compensatory information associated with the profile. e.g. salary, wage step, benefits, etc.
- EEO Statement
- This field allows you to include additional text such as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) statement which will be attached to any postings created for this job.
Job Requirements#
This section provides information on the requirements for the job.- Qualification Type
- This field defines the nature of the qualification/requirement being defined. This is tied to the lexicon X_QUALIFICATION_TYPE.
- Category
- This field further categorizes the qualification/requirement. This field is tied to the lexicon X_QUALIFICATION_CATEGORY.
- Description
- This field displays a short description of the qualification/requirement being defined.
- Start Date
- If the qualification/requirement is time sensitive, the first valid date will be displayed here. e.g. If the position must cover additional duties, such as word processing, for a year until another position for those duties can be created.
- End Date
- If the qualification/requirement is time sensitive, the last date needed will be displayed here.
- Priority
- This field ranks the qualifications/requirements in order of priority for this job profile.
- Desired Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency preferred for this qualification/requirement.
- Essential Prof.
- This field displays the level of proficiency essential for this qualification/requirement.
- Requirements Information
- This field provides further details and information about the qualification/requirement being defined.
