Measure Employee Competency#
The Measure Employee Competency (WMCPC) screen allows managers to measure competencies for current and projected jobs for all employees who report to them.
The information for this screen will be drawn from Maintain Personal Development Profile (ICPD) form and the Maintain Job Profiles (IRJP) form. Unless indicated otherwise, you will not be able to change the information contained in the field.
The manager may select the employee from list below:
- Person Code
- This field identifies the employee's person code.
- First Name
- The employee's first name will display here.
- Last Name
- The employee's last name will display here.
- Select Projected Job
- This button allows the manager to select a different job profile for the employee so that it may be compared against their current job profile.
- Department
- This field displays the employee's current department.
- Current Job Profile
- The current job profile title associated to the employee will display here.
- Projected Job Profile
- If a different job profile was selected via the Select Projected Job button above, the selected job profile title will display here.
- Category
- This field displays the category that the competence is associated to.
- Competence
- This field displays the competence that will be measured in the job profile.
- Current Level
- This is the employee’s current level of competence.
- Gap
- This area will show the difference between the employee’s current level of competence and the level required by their current job profile. If there is no difference the area will display ‘Qualified’ for that competence.
- Required Level
- This field will display the competency level required for the employee’s current job profile.
- Projected Gap
- This area will show the difference between the employee’s current level of competence and the level required by their projected job profile. If there is no difference the area will display ‘Qualified’ for that competence.
- Projected Level
- This field will display the competency level required for the employee’s projected job profile.
Development Courses#
- Course
- This course will display the name of the course that will help develop competencies for the proposed job profile.
- Competence
- This field shows the competence associated with the course.
- Level
- This field displays the level of competence associated with the course.
Prerequisites#
- Course
- This field identifies prerequisite courses needed for the competency.
- Competence
- This field shows the competence associated with the course.
- Level
- This field displays the level of competence associated with the course.
