OT FLSA - Overtime FLSA#
Time Rule Overview#
With this time rule, an employee will be entitled to receive overtime for the hours worked over the number of FLSA Hours (defined in
IDGR) in FLSA calendar period (defined in
IDCL)
Requirements / Features#
- Time Rule Type Code: OT FLSA
Additional Info#
Band
- multiple bands are not supported
Frequency
- predefined as ‘Every Day’
- How it works (high level):
- Frequency is daily, but the calculation that determines if the time rule will be applied or not, is based on FLSA Calendar period.
- FLSA Hours (IDGR) will be used by the time rule to determine when the time rule will be applied
- FLSA Calendar (IDGR) plus FLSA Start Time (IDWR) will determine when the calculation/apply of the time rule starts and ends.
Implementation#
The time rule should be set up in
IDWR as shown below. See
Time Rule Improvements for additional information regarding
IDWR.
Band | From | To | Value | Day | Time Code | Premium | Action | Target Time Code Set | Apply Time Code Set |

If the Target time code set is not provided, the target time code set will be defined based on the time codes generated by elements defined in IDGR.
