On IPUTR, there is a list of applicable Taxes to be calculated for State of Kentucky:

20.1 KY – IPRLU Set Up
For State of Kentucky, an employee may be subject to the following 5 types of taxes:
1) - Occupational License Fee (OLF) 2) - Occupational License Fee for Schools (OLTS) 3) - Mental Health Tax (MHT) 4) - Senior Citizen Tax (this tax is calculated together with Mental Health Tax) 5) - Transit Tax (this tax is calculated together with OLF Tax)
Kentucky Occupational License Fee (OLF) and Occupational License Fee for Schools (OLTS) are treated as COUNTY / CITY and SCHOOL District Tax. IPRLU must be set up for an employee on the LOCAL Tab for the following tax methods:
County Tax Method 01 – Normal Method City Tax Method 01 – Normal Method School Tax Method 01 – Use Default School
The other Tax Types such as Mental Health Tax, Senior Citizen Tax and Transit Tax are calculated by the GNIS Code, there is no set up required.
-The Miscellaneous Tax Parameters must be set up for the following Miscellaneous Identifiers, if these Identifiers do not exist, UPCALC will generate the default entries for the Identifiers

20.2 KY – ER SUTA Rate
User may bypass ER SUTA on IPUTR with ‘Do not Calculate’ or IPRLU ‘SUI ER Method’ = ‘Do not Calculate’. There are 2 options to set up ER SUTA Rate by State:
(1) IPUTR - enter the SUTA ER Rate that is given by the Government on the Override Tax Rate field - this rate is applicable for the entire company for State of Kansas
(2) IDGV - if there is a specific rate given by the government for different State Registration #, - then enter on IDGV by ‘Reg Type’, this overrides the IPUTR Rate
20.3 KY – IPPC / PC Usages
IPPC – Set up Pay Components by PC Usages
If user wants to calculate the following taxes, please set up IPPC for these PC Usages: Usage Description 7271 KY- Mental Health and Senior Citizen Tax 7272 KY- Senior Citizen Tax (this Usage is not used) Kentucky Senior Citizen Tax is calculated together with Mental Health Tax 7273 KY- Transit Tax (this Usage is not used) Kentucky Transit Tax is calculated together with OLF City / County Tax
Kentucky Occupational License Fee (OLF) and Occupational License Fee for Schools (OLTS) are treated as COUNTY / CITY and SCHOOL District Tax and thus will be stored as County / City / School District taxes. Pay Components must be defined for at County, City and School District Levels.
20.4 KY – OLF and OLTS
Kentucky Cities and Counties may charge resident and nonresident employees an Occupational License Fee. It is possible for an employee to be subject to both a City OLF and one or more County OLF.
In addition to the OLF, some counties levy a Mental Health tax, a Senior Citizen tax, an Educational School Tax, or a Transportation Tax.
For Example: GEO: 21-015-492266 Florence is for County 21-015 Boone County, for City 492266 Florence
(1) On IPUTR, there are 3 entries for County 21-015 Boone County, therefore these 3 taxes will be calculated.

The OLF are defined with ’21-015’ County Level and this will be calculated and stored as County Tax. The OLFS are defined with ’21-015’ County Level and this will be calculated and stored as School District Tax. MHT will be calculated and stored with PC Usage 7271 - KY- Mental Health and Senior Citizen Tax.
School District Tax are calculated automatically according to the GNIS Code, there is no need to set up IDSD School District code for Kentucky, and therefore IDTX Jurisdiction entries for Kentucky also do not require to set up by School.
(2) On IPUTR, there is 1 entry for City 21-000-492266 Florence, therefore this tax will be calculated.
The OLF are defined with ’21-000-492266’ City Level and this will be calculated and stored as City Tax.
