There are many forms of navigation available in addition to the Menus and the Command Line. Toolbars, icons, buttons, links, quick keys and right mouse clicks all help the more experienced user work faster and easier. Bookmarks and the Most Recently Used list of functions help you get quickly back to where you were last working.

Toolbars And Icons#

Each form window has a toolbar at the top that holds the action icons you will need to use to make changes to your data. This toolbar also contains icons for tools that perform special functions.

Many of the application functions contain buttons that invoke dialogs that help you perform certain tasks like attaching a comment to a record. Some buttons provide links to other functions.

Quick Keys#

Many commonly used functions and actions have control keys associated with them. These are shown on the menus to the right of the function name. You hold down the Ctrl (Control) key and type the appropriate letter. e.g. To quickly close all windows, enter Ctrl+Shift+W

Accelerator Keys#

The system provides Windows accelerator keys to all frequently used menu items. You may pull up a menu or perform a function immediately by holding down the Alt key and typing the underlined letters on the menus. e.g. To add a bookmark, enter Alt+B+A
Quick keys and accelerator keys are NOT case sensitive.

Right Mouse Click#

While you are in a field, you are able to bring up an additional context sensitive menu with a right mouse click. The same rules apply to these menus as the main menu.

Bookmarks#

If you perform a function frequently, you should bookmark it. The Bookmarks Menu helps you do this. Make the function you wish to bookmark the active window and click into a field in that window. Then click Add a Bookmark or Ctrl+D or Alt+B+A. You will see a list of the functions that have been bookmarked at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu. If you want to remove a bookmark or change the order, use the Maintain Bookmarks function.

Most Recently Used List#

The File Menu lists your most recently used functions as in other Windows applications. This list is remembered from one session to another. This list is limited to 4 functions.
