LEAVE REQUESTS SET UP#

The Leave Requests set up must be completed outside of Self Service.

In order for employees to request leave through My Leave Planning (WEALP) or administrators to enter or maintain leave requests through Enter Employee Leaves (WAALV) and Review Employee Leaves (WAALP) the following set may need to be completed.

Maintain Security Rights#

This should be done via SS IMSV using a DTR_% (data security type) role.

The Leave Types available to select from will be restricted to those set up in the Leave Schedule in the Professional application.

Additional restrictions can be added through the Maintain Security Rights (IMSV) screen. This is done by setting up the Security Right Code of ‘LEAVE TYPE’ for each user, with the Security Value as the Leave Policy Code.

Maintain Leave Policies#

The Maintain Leave Policies (IALP) screen must be set up to allow employees to enter their own time through Self Service.

For each policy for which you have granted users access to in Maintain Security Rights (IMSV), you must:

  1. Add the attendance component of A1400 (Default Time Code/Pay Component for Leave Entry)
  2. Indicate the pay component that the ‘Time Taken’ is stored in.

This will allow the system to then derive a ‘default’ time code from Define Time Codes (IDTC).
