Multiple Shifts / Assignments Setup#
The purpose of this document is to describe how the setup for multiple shift assignments.
Define Work Rules (IDWR)#
Details Tab#
The ‘Track Meal Punches’ is optional and usually is only required if meal time is unpaid and the employees need to punch out/in for lunch.
Time Rules Tab#
A Scheduled Shift should be generated for an employee in order for the system to create paired clock punches.
For unscheduled punches, the system will pair based on Job/Assignment info.
Maintain Assignment (IEAS)#
When an employee has more than one assignment, the ‘Requires Time Sheet’ toggle should be turned on for each additional assignment in
IEAS.
Maintain Employee Schedules (DTESH)#
When dealing with time exceptions (leaves) and multiple shifts/EAS in DTESH, make sure that a Start/End time is entered for each TTX. This will create separate leave lines in
IAAL for each exception entered.
If you don’t enter a start/end time, the system will create one leave line in
IAAL. This creates an issue if you want to delete TTX for one shift, because if there is only one line, the TTX for all shifts will be deleted.
Please note that multiple assignments/ shifts testing is done in a general way and not based on ESD business needs and setup. The main goal is to check how the clocks are paired, and if the right scheduled shift and assignment are associated with the time exception.
Screen captures are meant to be indicative of the concept being presented and may not reflect the current screen design.
