DEFINE SHIFT PATTERNS #

A Shift Pattern identifies a daily sequence of shifts ‘worked’ and ‘off’ days, which repeats every “n” days. Shift patterns are used in establishing work team shift rotations.

The length of shift pattern is unlimited.

It is not necessary to repeat the entries once the essential pattern has been entered (i.e. if there is a unique pattern every 28 days that repeats, only one iteration of entries is required). Once created, the programs will extrapolate into the future to derive the proper schedule based on the date required.

The definition data for the Define Shift Patterns screen is stored in the P2K_TS_SHIFT_PATTERNS table.

Update Shift Sequences
The Update Shift Sequence button should ONLY be used for older existing Shift Patterns that need to be brought up to the new date effective format.
