MAINTAIN EXPERIENCE#
The Maintain Experience ISEP form displays an employee’s experience records for all experience types and indicates whether stepping is being done or not.
Experience Data is maintained on the P2K_SA_EXPERIENCES and P2K_SA_EXPERIENCE_DETAILS tables.
- Experience Type
- Wage stepping based on experience or just experience tracking may be done by entity, unit, group, department, job or position. Experience_Type is a mandatory, fixed lexicon (X_EXPERIENCE_TYPE) that user must use to look up the value.
- Start Date
- This is the first date that the Track Experience and Step Rates process (USEP) was run. Usually the end of the first pay period the employee was paid for. Experience_Start_Date is a mandatory date field that users must fill either manually or through the calendar icon.
- Entity
- If the employee gained experience by entity, this field identifies the entity where the experience was gained. Entity may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Define Entities (IDEN) form.
- Unit
- If the employee gained experience by unit, this field identifies the unit where the experience was gained. Unit may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Maintain Units (IDUN) form.
- Group
- If the employee gained experience by group, this field identifies the group where the experience was gained. Group may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Maintain Groups (IDGR)form.
- Department
- If the employee gained experience by department, this field identifies the department where the experience was gained. Department may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Maintain Department (IDDP) form.
- Job
- If the employee gained experience by job, this field identifies the job where the experience was gained. Job may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Maintain Jobs (IDJB) form.
- Position
- If the employee gained experience by position, this field identifies the position where the experience was gained. Position may be completed with a selection from the LOV derived from the Maintain Positions (IDPS) form.
- Scale/Step
- This field displays the current scale and step the employee is on. Scale/Step is an optional 10-character numeric field that you may fill manually.
- Last Date Stepped
- This field shows the last time the Track Experience and Step Rates process (USEP) stepped the employee. Experience_Last_Step_Date is an optional date field that you may fill either manually or through the calendar icon.
- Last Date Worked
- This field shows the last time the Track Experience and Step Rates process (USEP) recorded ‘time’ for the employee. This date is usually the end of the first pay period for which the employee was paid. Experience_Last_Worked_Date is an optional date field that you may fill either manually or through the calendar icon.
- Experience Status
- Only the employee’s current scale and step experience will be ‘Open’. Once an employee ‘steps’ the record will be marked ‘Closed’. Experience_Status is a mandatory, fixed lexicon (X_EXPERIENCE_STATUS) that you must use to look up the value.
- Last Evaluated On
- This field shows the last time the Track Experience and Step Rates process (USEP) was run. Experience_Last_Eval_Date is an optional date field that you may fill either manually or through the calendar icon.
Eligible#
- Eligible Days
- ‘Eligible Days’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. As pay components are normally in hours, this field is populated by determining the ‘Eligible Hours’ and dividing it by the standard hours per day on the group form. Eligible_Days is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Eligible Hours
- ‘Eligible Hours’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. This is the time eligible for this step only. Eligible_Hours is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Eligible Units
- Not currently used.
- Pre Eligible Days
- ‘Pre Eligible Days’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. As pay components are normally in hours this field is populated by determining the ‘Eligible Hours’ and dividing it by the standard hours per day on the group form. Pre_Eligible_Days is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Pre Eligible Hours
- ‘Pre Eligible Hours’ are based on the data in the ‘Eligible’ Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. Pre_Eligible_Hours is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Pre Eligible Units
- Not currently used.
Worked\Absent#
- Worked Days
- The value in this field is based on the data indicated in the Worked Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. As Pay Components are normally in hours this field is populated by determining the ‘Worked Hours’ and dividing it by the standard hours per day on the group form (IDGR). Worked_Days is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Worked Hours
- ‘Worked Hours’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. Worked_Hours is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Worked Units
- Not currently used.
- Absent Days
- ‘Absent Days’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. As pay components are normally in hours this field is populated by determining the ‘Absent Hours’ and dividing it by the standard hours per day on the group form (IDGR). Absent_Days is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.

Life Time Accumulation#
- Accumulated Days
- ‘Accum. Days’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. As pay components are normally in hours this field is populated by determining the ‘Eligible Hours’ and dividing it by the standard hours per day on the group form (IDGR). Accumulated_Days is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Accumulated Hours
- ‘Accum. Hours’ are based on the data in the Eligible Element field of the Wage Step Rules (ISRS) form. This is all eligible time ever processed for the employee. Accumulated_Hours is an optional 18-character numeric field that you may manually fill.
- Accumulated Units
- Not currently used.
