MAINTAIN COLUMN DETAILS#

The Maintain Column Details (IMCD) screen allows you to view information about the columns in individual screens.

The definition data for the Maintain Column Details screen is stored in the P2K_AM_TABLE_DETAILS and P2K_AM_COLUMN_DETAILS tables.

Seq #
This field indicates the sequential order of the column within the form.
Prompt
This field displays how the column will be identified on the column.
If a prompt is not specified in IMFD, the 'Field Prompt' from the Column Detail field on IMCD will be displayed as the name of the group item on the form.
There are screens where a displayed prompt is not necessary or desired. In this case, you will enter two quotation marks (" ") in the prompt field to get a blank title.
Column Name
This field holds the official name of the column.
Prompt (FRE)
If the form is to be displayed in a second language, this field allows you to provide an alternate language name for the group item. (On the example screen, the second language is identified as French, ‘Prompt (FRE)’.)
Column Usage
This field identifies if the column was pre-loaded with the application or if the column was added by the client as user defined.
Data Type
This field identifies if the format of data in the column. For example is numerical, alphanumeric or date.
Domain Name
This field identifies if the name of the column's domain i.e. ID, TOGGLE
Lexicon Name
If the column is associated to a lexicon, the name of the lexicon is indicated here.
Description
This field provides a short description of the purpose of the column.
Length
This field indicates how many characters are allowed in the column.
Format
This field indicates if the column has a specific format defined, i.e. 999,999.9999
Table Reference ID
This field displays a foreign key link from the originating table back to the ID found on a related table. Typically, another field on the same record will identify which table the "related table" is.
Code Sequencing Allowed
This toggle determines if code sequencing is allowed for the column.
No View Allowed
This toggle indicates if the column is enabled to be viewed by an end user.
No Update Allowed
If this toggle is on, the user will not be allowed to edit the data in the column
Translation Allowed
This toggle determines if column may be translated to a different language.
Mandatory
If this toggle is on, the user will be required to complete this column before saving the form.
Logging Not Allowed
This field, set by the system, indicates if logging is even permitted on this field/table. Some tables do not make sense to log, due to their volatility or transactional nature.
Disabled Logging
When checked, the field or table that it pertains to will no longer be logged for audit purposes.
Must Date Split
This field has be deprecated, and is no longer used.
