Manage Designated Approvers#
The Manage Designated Approvers (IEMDA) screen will allow the user to manage any designated individuals for the employee in focus. Designated approvers may be assigned to employees to approve leave requests in their absence. The From and To dates for the Designated Approver are used to filter approval records against the Approval Time stamp column. NOT the system AS OF DATE. This means that the date the approval record is created assigns responsibility to the approver. If the Designated Approver was active when the approval record was "created" (APPROVAL_TIMESTAMP is the column used in filters) then the responsibility of that approval remain the designates responsibility until it's handled (Approved/Declined). When the current date passes the "To" date, this does NOT relieve responsibility of the approval since the creation date of the approval does not change.
If Designated Approver has made an approval and an approval record has a status Approved or Approved Historic, that Designated Approver is no longer allowed to be deleted from the screen. Therefore, if that Designated Approver is no longer needed, the From/To Date must be used to restrict the time frame he can give approvals.
For all the other approval statuses the Designated Approvers are allowed to be deleted.
More information on Alternate Approvers can be found on Designated Approvers.
The definition data for the Manage Designated Approvers screen is stored in the P2K_HR_DESIGNATED_APPROVERS, and P2K_CM_APPROVAL_RECORDS tables.
