MAINTAIN ZIP RANGES#
The Maintain Zip Ranges (IDZR) screen allows you to create and maintain zip code ranges. The information is the County Zip Ranges tab is populated when the UDGNIS is run for a state.
Zip Ranges data is stored in the P2K_CM_STATE_PROVINCES, P2K_CM_COUNTRIES, P2K_CM_ZIP_RANGES, and P2K_CM_TAX_JURISDICTIONS tables.
County Zip Ranges tab#
The user may select a County from the first table. The Zip Codes associated to the County selected will be visible in the table below.- County Name
- The name of the county associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- County Code
- The county code associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- Alt County Code
- An alternate county code associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- State Name
- The state associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- Zip Code
- The zip code associated with the zip range is identified in this field.
- City
- The name of the city associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- City Code
- The city code associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- Description
- A short description of the zip range is provided in this field.
Jurisdiction Zip Ranges tab#
- GNIS Code
- The GNIS associated with the zip range is identified in this field.
- Jurisdiction
- The jurisdiction associated with the zip range is identified in this field.
- GEO Type
- The GEO type associated with the zip range is identified in this field.
- Zip Code Start/Zip Code End
- These fields identify the start and end of the zip codes.
- City
- The name of the city associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- City Code
- The city code associated with the zip code range is identified in this field.
- Description
- A short description of the zip range is provided in this field.
