Domain#

DATE is an application domain that has the following characteristics:

• Data base storage is in a DATE data type (see below)
• Screen representation is as a text field, with a calendar widget selector
• Formatted input and output is controlled through preferences defined in IMST

Datatype#

DATE is an Oracle data type that indicates this field holds a date/time value. Although the variable is capable of holding a time component, The application does not utilize this, and so all time components (other than for CHANGE_DATE and CREATE_DATE) are usually set to midnight (i.e. 00:00:00)
