The UAENTLL process will allow you create leave line entitlements outside of a payroll cycle and without creating an Unofficial Leave Accrual record for an employee. Specifically when the entitlement must be in the bank on a specific day regardless of the payroll cycle.
Business Example: Employees earn their monthly Sick Time allotment on the day of their anniversary every month. If the anniversary is June 16, the employee receives their entitlement the 16th of every month. This entitlement must be in the employee’s leave accrual to be used on the 16th, not when the pay period which includes the 16th is processed.
As long as the entitlement is not based on payroll information such as time worked, the UAENTLL/Leave Policy can be set up to run nightly granting entitlement for the next day or monthly/annual basis.
This will create a leave line for the entitlement with the value populated into attendance component [A290|AC-A290] with an [Absence Source|ABSENCE_SOURCE_MODULE] of 13-AT Entll Calc
In order to use this program, there must be a [TIME_CODE] with the leave type of "Leave Entitlement" set up on [IALS]. This will be the [TIME_CODE] associated with the generated leave lines.
Without this set up, the leave lines generated by the UAENTLL will not be picked up by [UPCALC]/[UACALC] processing.
%%info There is no trial option when running this program. Once launched it will be a manual process to remove any leave lines created in error.
