WHAT’S NEW FOR TAX YEAR 2011
The state of Alaska does not have state income tax.
There are no noted file format change in wage reporting file layout for tax year 2011.
SET UP
- This document contains abbreviated set up requirement for the specific state only, please refer to the general document (US_Annual_Qtrly_Reporting_GEN) for other setup procedure that may also be required.
IDGV - SUI Registration
- IDGV Definition Tab must be set up with ‘State Registration’ for State/Province: Alaska
- IDGV Variables Tab must be set up with ‘State Registration’ for State/Province: Alaska
‘W2 STATE MEDIA FILING’ - Must be ‘02’ to generate AK State magnetic media file for AK State only
STATE FILE PROCEDURES
- Alaska does not have state income tax.
- The Alaska Department of Labor accepts filing of UI quarterly wages via magnetic media using the AK state format
Quarterly UI Wage Reporting – Select ALASKA State
- The user must run RPYEU and select the following to generate Alaska State file information:

Select State: - Alaska, USA
- The user must enter the optional ‘Quarterly Form Code’ in order to produce the file in AK state file format.
