The Maintain Column Details (IMCD) screen allows you to view information about the columns in individual screens. The IMCD has a very deep significance in the application as it controls how the fields are displayed and behave (through the domain) and must be tied correctly to the definitions that are also held in the EAR. These columns must NOT be changed.
The Maintain Column Details (IMCD) screen allows you to view information about the columns in individual screens.
You may access this feature through the Screens/Forms menu:
Application Administration > System Structures > Maintain Column Details
‘Maintain Column Details’ Usage and Examples
Seq #
This field indicates the sequential order of the column within the form.
Column Name
This field holds the official name of the column.
Prompt
This field displays how the column will be identified on the column.
If a prompt is not specified in IMFD, the 'Field Prompt' from the Column Detail field on IMCD will be displayed as the name of the group item on the form.
There are screens where a displayed prompt is not necessary or desired. In this case, you will enter two quotation marks (" ") in the prompt field to get a blank title.
Prompt (FRE)
If the form is to be displayed in a second language, this field allows you to provide an alternate language name for the group item. (On the example screen, the second language is identified as French, ‘Prompt (FRE)’.)
Prompt
This field shows the name that will appear on form for the item.
This name will default in from P2KHHRM, however you may change it.
