Process Promotions Using the Process Promotions (WMEPR) screen you can promote, demote or transfer your employees. This section explains the Perform Promotions screen and its components. This screen allows you to select an employee reporting to you and change their assignment details to reflect the promotion, demotion or transfer you which to perform.

Name (Code) This field identifies employees reporting to you by last and first name, followed by their person code/employee number. Assignment This field displays the employee’s current assignment title. Department This field displays the department where the employee is assigned. Reports To This field displays the employee’s supervisor. This individual is identified by last and first name, followed by their person code/employee number. Show Indirect Employees If this toggle is checked, the employees who report to you indirectly will be included in the list. By clicking on one of the employees listed, you may perform the desired promotion, demotion or transfer using the fields below. Assignment Details Position This field displays the position to which the employee is currently assigned and the field that must you change to promote the employee. Title This field displays the title of the assignment to which this position belongs and can be overridden. Emp Status The status of the employee’s assignment will be indicated here. e.g. ACTIVE, LEAVE, etc. Job This field shows the job associated with the position. Unit This field shows the unit associated with the position. Group This field displays the group to which the position belongs. Work Rule This field displays the work rule associated with the position. Range This field displays the salary range for the assignment, if applicable. Scale/Step This field displays the wage scale for the assignment, if applicable. Scale Rate The rate from the scale/step the employee is on, if applicable. Wage Rate This field displays the actual wage rate for the assignment; this may vary from the scale rate. Basis This field displays the rate basis in which the wage is expressed. Compensation Details Min Salary This is the starting amount for the salary range. Mid Salary This is the mid-range amount for the salary range. Max Salary This is the highest amount for the salary range. Compa Ratio This ratio is calculated as the actual range as a percentage of the 'Midpoint' amount. e.g. Employee Wage Rate / Midpoint X 100% If the midpoint salary is $40,000 and the employees wage rate is: $20,000, then compa ratio would be 50% $40,000, then compa ratio would be 100% $60,000 then compa ratio would be 150% Annual This is the compensation rate provided on an annual basis. Monthly This is the compensation rate provided on a monthly basis. Semi Monthly This is the compensation rate provided on a semi-monthly basis. Bi-Weekly This is the compensation rate provided on a bi-weekly basis. Weekly This is the compensation rate provided on a weekly basis.
