UPDATE BENEFIT ENROLLMENT#

Processing Information#

Mass updates may be performed for employee benefits. This may be for the purposes of mass enrolling new hires into required plans/coverages, or ending benefits for terminated employees or employees that no longer qualify based on IBSC. These types of changes would be done through the Update Benefit Enrollments (UBEN) form.

To use the UBEN to enroll employees in a coverage;
1) The benefit must be established on IBSC
2) The IBSC must have an "Election Default Coverage" defined
3) The IBSC must have a participation rule of 'Required'

For employees that no longer qualify for a coverage based on the IBSC, their enrollment status will be changed to "Pending Removal". These records will be updated by UBEN to "Not Enrolled" as of the processing date specified.

Report Parameters & Filters#

Report Parameters
Entity	Mandatory, LOV available Limits the process to the entity specified.
Plan	Mandatory, LOV available The benefit plant to be processed for the employees selected.
As Of Date	Mandatory, Date, LOV available Benefit election and enrollment records are selected up to and including the As Of Date (Cut-off) supplied on the selection form.
Termination Date	Mandatory, Date, LOV available Benefit election and enrollment records are selected for employees terminated up to and including the termination date supplied on the selection form.
Exception Level	Mandatory, LOV available, defaults as <Exceptions Only> This field indicates the level of logging desired.
Trial	Mandatory, LOV available, defaults as <No> If ‘No’ then the update is committed. If ‘Yes’ then the update is not committed and the process may be run again.

Report Parameters
People	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available A People List may be used to indicate specific employee transaction to be processed.
Person Code	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This is the person code(s) of specific employee(s) to be processed.
Department	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified departments.
Authorization	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified authorization levels.
Location	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified locations.
Org Level	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified organizational levels.
Unit	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified units.
Group	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available This field limits the report to specified groups.
Assignment Type	Mandatory, LOV available You may limit processing of employees to the type of assignment they currently have.
Status	Mandatory, Multiple selection, and LOV available You may limit the processing of employees to their employment status.
