Creating a New Customer#

Creating in CCare#

  1. Create new customer and initial contact using the Add a new customer link
  2. Add products purchased
  3. Update profile - including the ftp password
  4. Add new Contacts
  5. If they are a Hosted Customer ? Add Contact HOSTING PARTNER with email and phone information

Creating on FILESERVER#

  1. Create the customer folder structure:
    • HighLine - not accessible to the customer through FTP
      • Mgmt - accessible only to Managers. Should contain the document "XXX Contract Log.xls"
      • Sales - to hold RFP and other documents.
    • TripReports - may be accessed through CCare (both internal and external)
    • WorkOrders - may be accessed through CCare (only internal) when "Create Work Order Report" button is pressed
    • Support
      • Cases - Where case attachments are placed
      • Custom
      • Database - Customers should have read/write access to this directory through FTP
      • Documentation
      • Patches - This folder should be replaced by the Release Wiki
    • Implementation - may be accessed through CCare (both internal and external)
      • Call_Logs
      • Conversion
      • DataGathering
    • QuickStart
  2. Create an FTP user using the ftp password above

Upload Documents#

  1. Implementation Planning documents into the \\Pandora\customers\XXX\Implementation folder
  2. Place "XXX Contract Log.xls" into the \\Pandora\customers\XXX\HighLine\Mgmt folder

Create Work Orders#

  1. Implementation Planning
  2. Implementation, Training and Troubleshooting
  3. Technical Assistance (installation, conversion)
  4. Project Management Assistance
  5. Any development identified in the planning documents

QuickStart#

  1. QuickStart customers should be enabled to access an application server on the external Application Servers (ARGO and ARGUS) by adding their customer code into an instance definition

Creating Release Wiki Access#

  1. Create new user through Admin Interface Users Tab.
    • Click on the Add button and then fill in the fields
    • Login name - Customer code (i.e. EWEB)
    • Password - As recorded in CCare on the Profile Page
    • Full name - Customer code again
  2. Add CustCode to license groups as needed
  • Oracle Data Base
  • Oracle App Server
  • Oracle Business Intel
  • Canadian Tax
  • US Tax
  • Genus Clocks
3. Create custom patch page
  • Type cust code in Quick Navigation box (above) and then click Edit (text is below - change XXX to cust code and zzzzzzz to cust name)

4. Paste the appropriate Windward license information from the General Documents page in the Release Wiki

  • Send email to customer with instructions on how to access (VPN) CCare, Release Wiki and FTP, and to update profile and contacts info
