ESTABLISH FORM OBJECT SECURITY#

The Establish Form Object Security (IMFOS) screen allows you to select items, form groups or data sources and restrict access, either to No View, Updateable, No Update or Mandatory.

This screen allows you to control object security by function for either a user or a role. You may select an object on a function:

Item

This field selects a field on the screen.

or Form Group

This field selects a tab or block on a screen.

or Data Source

This field selects a table or view.

Security Access

allows you to define the access level such as no view, no update, mandatory or updatable.

User or role

Select who/what you wish to give or restrict access to. When selecting a role the Type field with the role should be 'Object Security', not 'Not Specified Roles'. 'Not Specified Roles' are carried over from the old system and will be removed in the future.

In this example below, we have restricted the ability to see the ROE Status in IEEI.
