FUTURE PAYS

FUTURE PAY PROCESS#

There may be times that an employee may need to be paid for a future pay period before the dates for that pay period roll around.
  1. UPCALC has a parameter called 'Future Pay Period'. This parameter applies ONLY to pays categorized as 'Future Pay’ type. Future pays are pulled for calculation up to and including the 'Future Pay Period' entered.
  2. The parameter is optional, and if not supplied, NO future pays will be selected.
  3. This feature allows both future and current pays to be processed in the same UPCALC, each respecting different pay period parameters.
  4. Other than the selection criteria needed, futures are processed in the same manner as regular pays.
  5. If an employee has both current and future pays (possibly vacation), then the current pay is calculated first since pays are sorted by ‘Pay Period’ then by ‘Pay Category Type by Employee’.
  6. If the employee is to receive and cash their future pay in advance of the future pay period issue date, then the Pay Issue date on the Pay Header must be overridden or the Override Pay Issue Date parameter on UPCALC must be filled in.
