CODE is an application domain which imparts the following characteristics:
- Oracle data type is VARCHAR2(16)
- It is part of the unique key identification of the table to which it belongs, not necessarily that it must be unique within the system. For example, the Unique Key on the P2K_CM_JOBS table consists of DUN_ID and JOB_CODE which indicates that the uniqueness of Job Code must be within the Unit (DUN_ID) whereas the unique key on P2K_CM_ENTITIES is only ENTITY_CODE so that indicates that it must be unique within the system.
