X_INF_VARIABLE_NAME is a [fixed lexicon|FIXED LEXICON] that is used to define interface definitions in the [IDIF] screen.
This lexicon's saved value is a six-character code which uniquely identifies each variable that may be used in an interface. The first two characters identify the [interface type|INTERFACE_TYPE] and restructs the list of variables provided in [IDIF].
