!!!Process Promotions 
The Process Promotions (WMEPR) allows a manager to promote, demote or transfer your employees using a personnel action.

This screen allows you to select an employee reporting to you and change their assignment details to reflect the promotion, demotion or transfer you whish to perform.

The definition data for the Process Promotions screen is stored in the [P2K_SA_PERSONNEL_ACTIONS], [P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENTS] and [P2K_HR_ASSIGNMENT_DETAILS] tables.

;[Promote|ACT_INITIATE_PA]:This button allows you to initiate a Personnel Action for the employee in focus. 
;[Cancel Promotion|ACT_CANCEL_PA]:This button allows you to cancel the PA by pressing this button, once pressed the status will change to 'Cancelled'. 
;[Submit Promotion|ACT_SUBMIT_PA]:This button allows you to submit the PA for review. When pressed a dialog will appear asking the user to verify the changes by pressing OK or Cancel. The status of the PA will then change to 'Submitted'.

;[PA(Request)#|PA_NUMBER]:This field displays the PA# which will process the promotions.
;[Takes Effect|PA_EFFECTIVE_DATE]:The date the PA takes effect will be displayed in this field.
;[Comments|COMMENTS]:Any comments entered while initiating a PA will be displayed here.

!!Assignment Details
;[Position|POSITION_CODE]:This field displays the position to which the employee is currently assigned and the field that must you change to promote the employee.
;[Title|ASSIGNMENT_TITLE]:This field displays the title of the assignment to which this position belongs and can be overridden.
;[Job|JOB_CODE]:This field shows the job associated with the position.
;[Unit|UNIT_CODE]:This field shows the unit associated with the position.
;[Group|GROUP_CODE]:This field displays the group to which the position belongs.
;[Work Rule|WORK_RULE (Field)]:This field displays the work rule associated with the position.
;[Emp Status|STATUS_CODE]:The status of the employee’s assignment will be indicated here, e.g. ACTIVE, LEAVE, etc. 
;[Range|RANGE_CODE]:This field displays the salary range for the assignment, if applicable.
;[Scale/Step|STEP_CODE]:This field displays the wage scale for the assignment, if applicable.
;[Wage Rate|WAGE_RATE]:This field displays the actual wage rate for the assignment; this may vary from the scale rate. 
;[Basis|RATE_BASIS]:This field displays the rate basis in which the wage is expressed.

!!Compensation Details
;[Min Salary|DRV_MIN_SALARY]:This is the starting amount for the salary range.
;[Mid Salary|DRV_MID_SALARY]:This is the mid-range amount for the salary range.
;[Max Salary|DRV_MAX_SALARY]:This is the highest amount for the salary range.
;[Compa Ratio|DRV_COMPA_RATIO]:This ratio is calculated as the actual range as a percentage of the 'Midpoint' amount. 
;:e.g. Employee Wage Rate / Midpoint X 100%
;:If the midpoint salary is $40,000 and the employees wage rate is:
;:$20,000, then compa ratio would be 50%
;:$40,000, then compa ratio would be 100%
;:$60,000 then compa ratio would be 150%
;[Annual|DRV_ANNUAL]:This is the compensation rate provided on an annual basis.
;[Monthly|DRV_MONTHLY]:This is the compensation rate provided on a monthly basis.
;[Semi Monthly|DRV_SEMI_MONTHLY]:This is the compensation rate provided on a semi-monthly basis.
;[Bi-Weekly|DRV_BI_WEEKLY]:This is the compensation rate provided on a bi-weekly basis.
;[Weekly|DRV_WEEKLY]:This is the compensation rate provided on a weekly basis.

;[Seq #|SPLIT_SEQUENCE]:This field displays the sequential order (or line number) of the distribution code for this assignment. 
;[Distribution Code|DISTRIBUTION_CODE]:This field shows the distribution code receiving the portion of costs. This is normally the distribution of the wages associated with the assignment.
;[Split Rule|SPLIT_RULE]:The distribution split rule defines whether the distribution is being split by a percentage, by flat amount or by the Distribution pick list of authorized assignments. 
;[Percentage|SPLIT_PERCENT]: Percenage amount is displayed in this field if the split rule is defined as 'Split By Percent' 
;[User percentage|USER_PERCENT]: User Percenage amount is displayed in this field if the split rule is defined as 'Split By Percent' 
;[Amount $|SPLIT_AMOUNT]:Amount to be given to the distribution code is displayed in this field if the split rule is defined as 'Split By Flat Amount'
