When [editing pages|WIKI.MARKUP BASICS] just keep the following rules in mind:

!!General
* Write in a way that is easy to understand and avoid local slang or phrases. Many of those who will read your text may not have English as their first language.
** __Avoid the ''"click here"'' phrase!!__ Don't say: "More info about etiquette can be found [here|WikiEtiquette]" but use "More info about etiquette can be found at [WikiEtiquette]". I'd suggest avoiding it for external links as well.

!Wiki Page names
In this Wiki the links are written using the [[link] notation. That is a page is referenced within ~[ and ~] brackets. The page name is case sensitive, as far as its indexing goes, and if you are on a case-sensitive operating system, there will be different pages for WikiEtiquette and WIKIEtiquette.

A Wiki Page Name can not be a number. Numeric names are used for [footnotes|Wiki Formatting#footnotes|WIKI.MARKUP BASICS].

!Writing text
You don't need to know anything about the Wiki text formatting rules to use Wiki. Just write normal text, and then use an empty line to mark a paragraph.
It's just like writing an email. there is a powerful formatting capability, and a WYSIWYG toolbar to help you with the common ones. You don't have to know HTML or anything fancy like that to make things useful.
