PROCESS WAGE CHANGES#
The Process Wage Changes screen allows Administrator to process wage changes for an employee, review the history and compare peers compensation.The Administrator may select an employee from the find block.
Assignment Details#
This section displays current Assignment details of Employee, allows editing of most items, including details of wage: Scale/Step, Scale Rate and Wage Rate.- Position
- This is the position the employee is assigned.
- Title
- This is the official or formal title of the position or job for this assignment.
- Unit
- This is the unit the employee is affiliated with.
- Group
- This is the group code that determines the policy rules under which the employee must be processed.
- Work Rule
- Work rules are used to determine the standard payroll processing information required to create pay headers and transactions for an employee. This value is inherited from the position, group, department or job, but can be overridden.
- Work Calendar
- This is the work calendar code derived from the work rule
- Employment Status
- This field defines an individual's employment status as pending approval, active, on a leave of some type or terminated.
- Range
- Salary range provides minimum and maximum guidelines for the salary payable for the job, which an employee's salary can be compared to. This range is inherited from the position or job.
- Scale/Step Step
- The Wage Scale and Step fields determine the wage that is derived from the wage scale table. Scale/Step is inherited from the position or job, and can be overridden.
- Scale Rate
- This field displays the rate the employee is receiving from the scale/step table. This field will be automatically populated once the scale/step has been selected.
- Wage Rate
- The employee's wage rate, expressed in terms of the rate basis.
Compensation Details#
This section displays the Salary Range details for current Range selected plus current Salary statistics by calendar ranges (Annual, Monthly, etc.)
- Min Salary
- This is the starting amount for the salary range.
- Mid Salary
- This is the mid-range amount for the salary range.
- Max Salary
- This is the highest amount for the salary range.
- Compa Ratio
- This ratio is calculated using the employee’s salary as a percentage of the ‘Midpoint’ amount.
- Annual
- This is the compensation rate provided on an annual basis.
- Monthly
- This is the compensation rate provided on a monthly basis.
- Semi Monthly
- This is the compensation rate provided on a semi-monthly basis.
- Bi-Weekly
- This is the compensation rate provided on a bi-weekly basis.
- Weekly
- This is the compensation rate provided on a weekly basis.
