HIGHER OF CAP – Create Timesheet Entry as Higher of Cap#

Time Rule Overview#

This time rule will create a new timesheet with the value of the actual hours worked, but not more than the hours defined in the Value (Cap) using the time code defined on this rule.

• Frequency predefined as Every Day

Examples:

• Time is entered into the Time Code of B2 Bid. The user enters actual hours worked into B2 Bid and the system creates a timesheet entry for B2 Cap on the same day.
  • If 2 hours are entered into B2 Bid, then B2 Cap would be the lesser of actual hours and the Cap (2 vs 5). B2 Cap would have a value of 2.
  • If 7 hours is entered into B2 Bid, then B2 Cap would be the lesser of actual hours and the Cap (7 vs 5). B2 Cap would have a value of 5

All of the time codes must have a specific cap identified.

• If the hours entered are greater than the cap, then the cap will be applied.
• If the hours entered are less than the cap, the lesser hours are used.
