Large text fields are not always totally visible. Most of them have a scroll bar that you can use to browse through the information but this is time consuming since you only see a small amount at a time.
You can see most of the field contents at a glance by using the Text Editor. Click the note pad icon at the right of the field or use F9 to bring up the Text Editor with the full contents of the field. You can view or change the field content in the Text Editor and then click OK to return it to the original field.

Large text fields that are shown on a single line do not have scroll bars but you can still use the Text Editor. The icon to bring up the Text Editor is at the end of the field.
