- An Applicant is a person who has applied for a specific posting; also known as a Candidate.
- Application
- An Application is the association of a candidate with a specific posting; also known as a Job Application.
- Assessment
- An Assessment is a defined survey, test, interview or evaluation that is used to determine if an individual meets the requirements of the job. Assessments are normally made up of questions and rated responses that measure the candidate's competency levels. Assessments are also referred to as Tests, Surveys, Interviews, Reference Checks or Employer Checks.
- Assessment Event
- An Assessment Event is a specific occurrence of an assessment for an individual. e.g. A written test or interview

- A Budget Owner is the person with signing authority and control of the recruiting budget for an area within the organization.
