!WI – ER SUTA Rate
ER SUTA may be bypassed on [IPUTR] with ‘Do not Calculate’ or [IPRLU] ‘SUI ER Method’ = ‘Do not Calculate’.

There are two options to set up the ER SUTA rate by state:
#IPUTR
#*Enter the SUTA ER rate that is given by the government on the Override Tax Rate field.
#*This rate is applicable for the entire company within the State of Wisconsin.
#IDGV
#*If there is a specific rate given by the government for a different State Registration #, then enter the rate on [IDGV] by ‘Reg Type’; this overrides the [IPUTR] rate.

1	WY – Wyoming

On IPUTR, there is a list of applicable Taxes to be calculated for State of Wyoming:

	56-000-0000-ER_SUTA-000 Wyoming State Unemployment Tax
	56-000-0000-ER_WC-000 Wyoming Worker's Compensation - Employer

On IPUTP, the following State specific Miscellaneous Identifiers will exist for State of Wyoming:

	Miscellaneous Identifiers Description
	WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER Wyoming ER_WC Corporate Officer

If these Miscellaneous Identifiers do not exist, please run UPUTR for State of Wyoming to generate these.

53.1	WY – IPRLU Set Up

1)	Wyoming State does not require to withhold State Tax, therefore Miscellaneous Tax Parameters are not required.

2)	IPRLU State Tab ‘WC Method’ can be set up with ‘Calc by US Taxation’ in order to calculate the Wyoming Workers Compensation contribution by Symmetry Taxation.

- if WC Method = ‘Calc by IPWC Class’, this method uses the IPWC rates defined by WC class in order to calculate the Workers Compensation

		- if IPRLU WC Method is not set up, then IPPGU Pay Category WC Method will be used

	- if ‘WC Method’ = ‘Calc by US Taxation’ then IPRLU Miscellaneous Tab can indicate if an employee is a Corporate Officer

		Miscellaneous Identifiers Description

WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER - Optional, if this is not set up, IPUTP default set up is used
							- TRUE – Employee is a Corporate Officer
							- FALSE – Employee is NOT a Corporate Officer

- this Identifier indicates if the employee is either a corporate officer or a limited liability company member
- If this is TRUE, then instead of using regular wages for the calculation, the STE will use the Wyoming average wage as published by the state of Wyoming.

	- if this Identifier does not exist on IPRLU, UPCALC will not generate the default entries for this Identifier on IPRLU, UPCALC will use the IPUTP Default set up from WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER.

53.2	WY – ER SUTA Rate

User may bypass ER SUTA on IPUTR with ‘Do not Calculate’ or IPRLU ‘SUI ER Method’ = ‘Do not Calculate’.
There are 2 options to set up ER SUTA Rate by State:

(1)	IPUTR	- enter the SUTA ER Rate that is given by the Government on the Override Tax Rate field
		- this rate is applicable for the entire company for State of Wyoming

(2)	IDGV - if there is a specific rate given by the government for different State Registration #,
				- then enter on IDGV by ‘Reg Type’, this overrides the IPUTR Rate

53.3	WY – IPPC / PC Usages

If user wants to calculate the following taxes, please set up IPPC for these PC Usages:

Usage	Description
7007	Workers Comp Employer Tax
7008	Workers Comp Earnings

53.4	WY – Employer Worker’s Compensation

IPUTR – Wyoming Employer Worker’s Compensation

	- user may check the ‘Do Not Calculate’ Toggle on IPUTR to bypass WC Calculation if desired
	- IPRLU or IPPGU may specify WC Method = ‘Calc by US Taxation’ to calculate WC

	- if IPRLU Miscellaneous Identifier WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘TRUE’

- this indicates that the employee is either a Corporate Officer or a limited liability company member, then instead of using the Regular Wages for the WC calculation, the Wyoming Average Wage that is published by the State of Wyoming will be used

	- the Employer Worker’s Compensation will be calculated Once a Quarter, the reason is that all Corporate Officers are required to be taxed based upon an Average Wage and due to the average wage is being quarterly and cannot be prorated

	- if IPRLU Miscellaneous Identifier WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘FALSE’

	- the Employer Worker’s Compensation will be calculated Every Pay based on the Regular and Supplemental Wages

53.5	WY – UPCALC Example

Example (1)	IPRLU Miscellaneous Identifier WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘FALSE’

Note: Wyoming State Earnings are recorded even though Wyoming has no State Tax. This is to facilitate Employers to report State Earnings if it is required.

Pay# 1	PC 8046 Res SIT Earn = 2274.26 - Wyoming State Earnings are stored
PC 6042 Res SIT = 0 - Wyoming State has no State tax
PC 8056 Res SSP Earn = 909.71 - Wyoming State Earnings are stored
PC 6052 Res Supp Tax = 0 - Wyoming State has no State tax
	PC 5332 Workers Comp ER = 3183.97 x IPUTR 56-000-0000-ER_WC-000 Override Tax Rate 0.005
					= 15.92
	PC 6703 SUI ER Contr = 3336.83 x IPUTR 56-000-0000-ER_SUTA-000 Override Tax Rate 0.101800
					= 339.69

Pay# 2	Since WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘FALSE’, Employer Worker’s Comp is calculated based on All wages
PC 5332 Workers Comp ER = 60.71 x IPUTR 56-000-0000-ER_WC-000 Override Tax Rate 0.005
					= 0.30

Example (2)	IPRLU Miscellaneous Identifier WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘TRUE’

Note: Wyoming State Earnings are recorded even though Wyoming has no State Tax. This is to facilitate Employers to report State Earnings if it is required.

Pay# 1	PC 8046 Res SIT Earn = 2274.26 - Wyoming State Earnings are stored
PC 6042 Res SIT = 0 - Wyoming State has no State tax
PC 8056 Res SSP Earn = 909.71 - Wyoming State Earnings are stored
PC 6052 Res Supp Tax = 0 - Wyoming State has no State tax

Since WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘TRUE’, Employer Worker’s Comp is calculated based on Wyoming Average Wage that is published by the State of Wyoming for the quarter, i.e. 10172.49 for 2011
	PC 5332 Workers Comp ER = 10172.49 x IPUTR 56-000-0000-ER_WC-000 Override Tax Rate 0.005
					= 50.86

	PC 6703 SUI ER Contr = 3336.83 x IPUTR 56-000-0000-ER_SUTA-000 Override Tax Rate 0.101800
					= 339.69

Pay# 2	Since WC_CORPORATE_OFFICER = ‘TRUE’, Employer Worker’s Comp is calculated Once a Quarter, therefore PC 5332 Workers Comp ER will not be calculated again
