ROE REASON CODE (UDF)
Back to current versionRestore this version

ROE REASON CODE is a user defined field required for Canadian ROE processing using the UPROEF function.

You may override the ROE reason code for terminated employee whose termination reason is incorrect from the ROE Letter field from the IDTR form. Effective 2016, ROE XML reporting, the ROE Reason Code is changed from 1 character to 3 characters. You may enter the ROE reason code for an employee who has not been terminated but needs an ROE. If IEEI screen 'ROE REASON CODE' is defined for the employee, then IEEI 'ROE REASON CODE' is used, otherwise 'ROE REASON' is from the ROE Letter of the termination code. If ROE Reason is with the old format with 1 character only, UPROEF will concatenate with ’00’, e.g. ‘K’ is changed to ‘K00’.

If the user field does not exist on the IMUF screen, the UPROEF program will generate the user fields automatically when run. If you are a first time user for UPROEF (ROE Web), please run UPROEF in Trial mode for any one employee. UPROEF will generate all user-defined fields needed for ROE.

This user defined field is normally attached to the IEEI form.
