ROE REASON CODE is a user defined field required for Canadian ROE processing using the [UPROEF] function.

Effective 2016, ROE XML reporting, the ROE Reason Code is changed from 1 character to 3 characters.

You may override the ROE reason code for terminated employee whose termination reason is incorrect from the [ROE Letter|ROE_LETTER] field from the [IDTR] form. You may enter the ROE reason code for an employee who has not been terminated but needs an ROE. If [IEEI] screen 'ROE REASON CODE' is defined for the employee, then [IEEI] 'ROE REASON CODE' is used, otherwise 'ROE REASON' is from the [ROE Letter|ROE_LETTER] of the termination code. If ROE Reason is with the old format with 1 character only, UPROEF will concatenate with ’00’, e.g. ‘K’ is changed to ‘K00’.

If the user field does not exist on the [IMUF] screen, the [UPROEF] program will generate the user fields automatically when run. If you are a first time user for [UPROEF] (ROE Web), please run [UPROEF] in Trial mode for any one employee. [UPROEF] will generate all user-defined fields needed for ROE.

This user defined field is normally attached to the [IEEI] form.
