A user who wishes to access the public world may do so without providing any information about themselves to the company. Typically, the public world will allow any user to see what postings are available within the company, without allowing them to apply to those postings until they register.
The company’s main website may provide a link to a list of open postings within the company. i.e “http://server:port/selfService/public?FORM=WCRPO”
For example, the user may be brought to the (WCRPO) screen. From this screen, they may click on the posting they are interested and be brought to a full description of the job.
At this point, if the user is interested in applying for the posting, they may click the APPLY TO POSTING button located at the bottom of the screen.
The user, who is not registered with the company, will be prompted to register as an external candidate before their application can be accepted.
The generic user should be called SS_PUBLIC as a user 'PUBLIC' exists in the database and is reserved for Oracle database processing. Do NOT try to use this PUBLIC user for the purpose of RSS.Screen captures are meant to be indicative of the concept being presented and may not reflect the current screen design.
