TERMINATE EMPLOYEES (USING PA'S)#

The Terminate Employees screen allows you to handle terminations using a personnel action.

Maintain Employment Info data is stored in the P2K_SA_PERSONNEL_ACTIONS and P2K_HR_EMPLOYMENTS tables.

PA #
This field displays the PA which will maintain the employment information.
Takes Effect
The date the PA takes effect will be displayed in this field.
Change Reason
This field provides the reason for the data change.
Initiate PA
This button will allows you to initiate a Personnel Action for the employee in focus.
Cancel PA
This button allows you to cancel the PA by pressing this button, once pressed the status will change to 'Cancelled'.

Assignment Information#

Effective
This field defines the date the employee is officially terminated.
Entity
This field displays the entity the employee is terminated from.
Unit / Department / Group / Job / Position
These fields identify the unit, department, group, job and position that the employees belonged to in the position they were terminated from.
Hire Date
The hire date is the date that the employment agreement or period of employment commences.

Termination Details#

Termination Date
This field shows the last day of the employee’s relationship with the organization.
Termination Reason
This field defines the termination code that identifies the reason for the termination.
Rehire Status
This field indicates whether a terminated or laid off employee would be rehired or recalled.
ROE Comments
Any text entered here will be placed in the comments section of the ROE report.

Submit PA

This is an action button which allows the user to submit the PA for review. When pressed a dialog will appear asking the user to verify the changes by pressing OK or Cancel. The status of the PA will then change to 'Submitted'.

The 'Submit PA' button will now force a SAVE on the form, if not already done.

Process PA
This is an action button which will update the employee's records with the changed detail of the PA. The status of the PA will be updated to 'Completed'.
