MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT INFO (USING PA'S)#
The Maintain Employment Info screen allows you to maintain employment information using a personnel action.
Maintain Employment Info data is stored in the P2K_SA_PERSONNEL_ACTIONS and P2K_HR_EMPLOYMENTS tables.
Personnel Action Request#
- PA #
- This field displays the PA which will maintain the employment information.
- Takes Effect
- The date the PA takes effect will be displayed in this field.
- Change Reason
- This field provides the reason for the data change.
- Initiate PA
- This button will allows you to initiate a Personnel Action for the employee in focus.
- Cancel PA
- This button allows you to cancel the PA by pressing this button, once pressed the status will change to 'Cancelled'.
- Entity
- Employment Type
- This field describes the type of relationship which the employee has with the organization.
- Hire Date
- The hire date is the date that the employment agreement or period of employment commences.
- Termination Date
- This field shows the last day of the employee’s relationship with the organization.
- Termination Reason
- This field defines the termination code that identifies the reason for the termination.
Service#
- Hiring Sequence
- When more than one employee is hired on the same date, it may be necessary to assign a sequential number to each employee for seniority purposes.
- Original Hire Date
- This field will display the earliest date an employee ever worked for this or any related organization.
- Seniority Date
- This date is used to calculate the length of service for seniority purposes, and/or benefit and leave entitlements, and pension calculations.
- First Work Date
- This field displays the first work date will automatically be set at the time an employee's first pay is closed.
- Last Work Date
- This field displays the date an employee last performs duties and/or attends the work place for the current period of employment.
- Income Guarantee
- This field shows the percentage of disposable income that is guaranteed to an employee.
- Badge #
Termination#
- Rehire Status
- This field indicates whether a terminated or laid off employee would be rehired or recalled.
- Expected Return
- This date is used with the rehire status to indicate the expected date of a future rehire. For Canadian installations: This date is used on the Record of Employment (ROE) when an employee is laid off, in conjunction with the Date Expected Back field to indicate an intention to recall them.
- ROE Status
- This field indicates whether an ROE (or a duplicate) is required, requested or issued.
- ROE Issued
- This field shows the date the ROE was issued or re-issued.
- ROE Comments
- Any text entered here will be placed in the comments section of the ROE report.
- ROE Letter
- This field indicates the ROE letter provided by the Government of Canada that will be used for the ROE based on the termination reason.
- Submit PA
- This is an action button which allows you to submit the PA for review. When pressed a dialog will appear asking you to verify the changes by pressing OK or Cancel. The status of the PA will then change to 'Submitted'.
- Process PA
- This is an action button which will update the employee's records with the changed detail of the PA. The status of the PA will be updated to 'Completed'.
