EVALUATE JOBS AND POSITIONS#

If you desire to use Salary Range rules “by formula” (which includes an evaluation of the points awarded here), the Evaluate Jobs and Positions (ISEV) form is required. Otherwise, you may pick and choose which of the capabilities of ISEV will be used.

Job and Position Evaluation data is maintained on the P2K_SA_EVALUATIONS and P2K_SA_EVALUATION_RATINGS tables.

Job
This field indicates the job for which this evaluation is being created/viewed. If the evaluation is for a position, this field will be left blank. If the Job field is not filled, then the Position field must be entered. Job_Code is a 16-character alphanumeric optional field that may be manually entered or a value may be chosen from the LOV (F9).
Position
This field indicates the position for which this evaluation is being entered/viewed. If the evaluation is for a job, this field will be blank. If the Position field is not filled, then the Job field must be entered. Position_Code is a 16-character alphanumeric optional field that may be manually entered or a value may be chosen from the LOV (F9).
Date range defines the time frame in which an evaluation is valid. This feature allows for multiple evaluations of the same job/position over time. If the job/position is evaluated again in the future, add a new record with a different evaluation start and end date.
Evaluation Start Date
This field holds the date that the evaluation becomes effective. Evaluation_Start_Date is an optional date field you must either manually enter or choose a value from the calendar icon (F9).
Evaluation End Date
This field holds the last date that the evaluation is effective. This field is not required, but may be entered to show a date when the evaluation will be considered out of date. Evaluation_End_Date is an optional date field you must either manually enter or choose a value from the calendar icon (F9).
Evaluation Status
This field displays the status of the evaluation. Evaluation_Status is an optional, fixed lexicon (X_EVALUATION_STATUS) that you may fill with a value from the LOV (F9).
Evaluation Methods
This indicates the method used to evaluate the job. If the method used by the company is not included in this list, it is permissible to add new values to this lexicon. Evaluation_Method is an optional, fixed lexicon (X_EVALUATION_METHOD) that you may fill with a value from LOV (F9).
Evaluation Points
This field shows the total points awarded to the job or position by this evaluation. This total is made up of the evaluation points for each category described in the lower area of the form. If range rules have been created in the Maintain Salary Ranges (ISSR) form and a specific range rule has been added to the Job/Position definition, then this field must be populated. Evaluation_Points is an optional 5-character numeric field that you may fill manually. Wiki will populate the Evaluation Points fields with the total from the Points field from the Evaluation Rating section. This is an automatic update.
Category
This shows the name of the category used in evaluating this job/position. This category may be derived from a formal external system or be created by the company. Evaluation_Category is an optional, user-defined lexicon (X_EVALUATION_CATEGORY).
Rating
You may enter a descriptive rating given for the category in this field. Evaluation_Rating is an optional 16-character alphanumeric field that you may fill manually.
Points
This field indicates the points awarded, based on the evaluation rating and the judging system. ;:Evaluation_Points is an optional 4-digit numeric value that may be filled manually.
Description
This field is a description of either the rating given or of the category, as desired. Description is an optional 50-character alphanumeric field that you may enter manually.
