MAINTAIN SYSTEM MESSAGES#
The Maintain System Message (IMMS) form is used to define and maintain system supplied messages.
The definition data for the Maintain System Message screen is stored in the P2K_AM_MESSAGES table.
Message Info#
- Message
- This field provides an identifying code for the message.
- Usage
- This field will indicate if the message is preloaded, user defined or obsolete.
- Language
- This field indicates the default language in which the message will appear.
- Suppress
- Suppress Warning is used by messages associated with two or more fields that are dependent upon each other (known as check constraint messages). This technology is used in the P2K application, it is not used in Personality.
- Message Text
- This field holds the actual message.
- Text (FRE)
- If the message is supplied in a second language, that text is provided in this field.
- Help Text
- This field contains any additional information that may assist the user in determining the cause of the message and the action to be taken.

- Alert
- If this toggle is checked, the message displays in an alert box, that requires the user to press an OK button. If alert box is not checked, the message appears at the bottom of the screen on the status line. This technology is only implemented in certain messages.

- Warning Only
- Warning Only is used by messages associated with two or more fields that are dependent upon each other (known as check constraint messages). This technology is used in the P2K application, it is not used in Personality.
